  1. 4 years 188m for a non QB just seems like insanity to me
  2. I mean, if he's a luxury version of a 4th OFer I don' think that's the worst scenario in the world.
  3. I'd be thrilled with mediocre to average. I think they're both optimistic if I'm being honest.
  4. America has embraced stupidity and hot takes over education and factually backed opinions.
  5. That CB depth is less than comforting.
  6. I'm with Kiley on this. I think the most recent draft stands a very good chance at restocking a system that has lost a ton of talent the last couple years. There was a period pre draft where things were looking pretty bleak once the AAA cast moved on.
  7. Honestly I think the 2023 draft was pretty good. First rounder Darnell Wright has been good to acceptable depending on injury. Second rounder Gervon Dexter has been good and poised to break out into that next tier Second rounder Tyrique Stevenson has been good Third Rounder Zach Pickens is a bust Fourth Rounder Roschon Johnson might end up being the lead back this year Fifth Rounder Tyler Scott has been depth and stands a decent chance of not making the roster Fifth Rounder Noah Sewell has been a back up and should make the team Fifth Rounder Terrell Smith would have been a backup before the knee injury that will make him miss the season
  8. If only the rest of the world would follow suit.
  9. Personally, I found it hilarious each and every time how openly Boog showed his dislike of Girardi.
  10. Man we're getting some warm to hot takes on this articles lately.
  11. If anything I wish he'd use it a bit more. That .262 xSLG on his slider is absurd.
  12. Man, it's a damn shame they couldn't win the 5th game of that Brewer series. The division is still on the table, but it feels so much more reasonable if they win that game.
  13. We're talking Andrew Kittredge not Palencia or Keller. There's no way I pull him there at 62 pitches.
  14. Counter point, Taillon is a better pitcher then they are and was cruising.
  15. I'm really stuck on how I fee about Balleteros right now. I have very little doubt that he wont be an above average MLB hitters, but he's much more likely to be a DH than a catcher at this point and while I think he'll hit for good average, have a good obp, I don't know if there's enough power currently to say he's more than a 20-25 HR bat. I kind of see his 90th percentile outcome as like a .275/.360/.450 guy which is really nice and all, but it's not special enough that I hesitate to give him up for a Ryan or a Gore.
  16. Steele/Shota/Horton/Taillon/Wiggins has the potential to be ridiculously deep. If Brown ever puts it together it's almost an embarrassment of riches.
  17. I think most of us were just constantly baffled that he was so easily getting people to 2 strikes early in the season, but just couldn't strike any one out.
  18. Brown is just an incredibly frustrating pitcher. He should be so much better than his results.
  19. Horton is pushing real hard. After tonight he's sitting at a 2.88 ERA in 93.2 IP. He has about 5 more starts left so he should finish in the 120 IP range.
  20. 4 more strong starts like that from Cade and he's your NL ROY
  21. Bagent, what was that? Take the hit and get the first, good god.
  22. Secondary gets absolutely gashed again.
  23. As usual, wasted a big opportunity to blow it open.
