  1. It's just so strange to me that in a season with a hundred things to be optimistic about, this is the one where the fans and media seem overwhelmingly negative.
  2. The Rockies now have a -316 run differential. The 2nd worst this year is the Nationals at -142. Last year's historically terrible White Sox team had a -306. The worst run differential in the modern era is the 1932 Boston Red Sox with a -349. The Rockies still have 48 games to go.......
  3. The Brewers really do have a horseshoe up their ass this year. Andrew Vaughn who got traded for mostly nothing goes from a 42 wRC+ to a 215 wRC+ the minute he changes uniforms Quinn Priester gets added for mostly nothing coming off a 7.74 ERA in 2023, a 4.71 ERA in 2024 and now is suddenly posting a 3.15 ERA this year. Isaac Collins a 28 year old non prospect is putting up a 138 wRC+ which is higher then he ever did at any point in the minors So they've added for basically nothing, an MVP caliber bat, a good #3 pitcher and an all star level OFer. Totally and completely reasonable. I
  4. I was going to say not really, but damn Wood has really come back to earth with the bat. I think Wood is likely a much much safer bet to be a better hitter in the long term, but yeah either fangraphs doesn't expect PCA to continue hitting anywhere near the level he has in the last full season of PAs or they don't factor defense/base running into much.
  5. Jokes aside, I don't know how Misiorowski can even realistically be in the running with 33.1 IP.
  6. The peripherals starting to come down for Cade too, FIP finally below 4 and down to 3.91.
  7. Horton finishes the day with a 3.18 ERA. At some point his name has to at least start entering the conversation for ROY. There's no run away leader in the NL.
  8. Unfortunately for us, Cade is done after this inning regardless.
  9. There is no world in which Tucker is getting 500m if he doesn't turn it around real quick.
  10. So it seems missing the playoffs really is on the table.
  11. Giving Jed that extension is going to look hilariously stupid in another month
  12. At time of the draft I thought there was 10-15 hr pop, but there's been very little info on him this year so I don't know if that's still true.
  13. Damn, straight to A+. They're clearly pretty high on Snell.
  14. June 7th 40-24,since then 24-22. They might just be a kind of mediocre team.
  15. Top 4 hitters go 1/16 with 4BB and 8K. Completely unacceptable.
  16. They are not the biggest issue, but don't kid yourself, 3 runs against the pitchers they faced is terrible
  17. Yup, offense doing exactly as expected.
