  1. From MLBTR: After adding Todd Frazier, Bruce Levine of CBS Chicago wonders if the White Sox will grab another big bat off of the free agent market. Justin Upton and Yoenis Cespedes are potential targets for Chicago, but Alex Gordon makes the most sense for the White Sox, in Levine’s estimation. If you add one of these three, suddenly the WS are looking pretty good. That would certainly solidify the offense to go with Sale, Quintana, and Rodon in the rotation. Even if they add another bat, I still don't think they're better than MIN/KC and I'd put them just on par with CLE.
  2. http://www.sfgate.com/sports/article/Jose-Canseco-wants-to-nuke-Mars-6697303.php I'm just going to assume he stole this idea word for word because I don't like the thought of Canseco being intelligent enough to come up with this crazy plan.
  3. They now have 6 pitchers who will be MLB ready in 2016 but no rotation spots for them. Urias,De Leon,Cotton,Anderson,Lee and Montas. That is an enormous amount of value sitting in AAA/AA waiting for a space to open.
  4. The package the Dodgers got is so much better. Why were the Dodgers even involved unless the Reds absolutely had to have Peraza? If that's the case they're an even more laughable organization than I thought.
  5. Congratulations Cincy, you now have a CF and a 2B who could steal 50+ bases but unfortunately neither of them can hit.
  6. Time to cut Gould.
  7. Wow, what an awful call on 3rd down. No TD no FG, nothing.
  8. Just maybe you should cover Reed. He has only single handedly torched this defense all day.
  9. Fuller getting absolutely embarrassed.
  10. This is the 2014 Bears. They're out their to pick up a paycheck and otherwise couldn't give the slightest [expletive] about putting any effort in.
  11. Looks like the Bears decided the season wasn't worth playing for after the loss to the 49ers. Wonderful coverage by Fuller on 3 and 12. Nearly as impressive as 5 Bears being unable to tackle Jordan Reed.
  12. 2017 FA has no one of value other than Strasburg and Carlos Gomez so I'd prefer hang onto the youngsters and farm as trade bait should Theo need to make a move at the deadline or in winter 2017.
  13. If the Cubs add Lucroy and Ross then this roster resembles an ASG roster more than a normal roster.
  14. Atlanta's pitching is going to be insane. They stole Allard in last year's draft and if it's true that they have a hand shake deal with Kevin Maitan next year, they're on their way to a monster farm.
  15. Heyward, a good lefty reliever and call it an offseason.
  16. He can't play CF normally, let alone CF where he has to make up ground for Soler and Schwarber.
  17. Same. The team has gotten significantly older, is paying twice as much and they may or may not be better.
  18. When healthy he's the 2nd best pitcher we've been linked to, behind only Carassco.
  19. Archer,Moore,Cobb,Odorizzi,Smyly,Karns,Colome,Erasmo and Snell are all candidates for the rotation this year. They surely don't need to be 9 SP deep.
  20. He still hasn't developed a third pitch. Teach him a Cutter and a splitter and he has top of the rotation potential.
  21. Sale would probably take Kris Bryant, so you can forget about that one. Kris Bryant is already more valuable than Sale by himself.
  22. Marlin Bystro Blake Snell is a name with Tampa that is being forgotten here. I know the Cubs liked him in the past. McGee and Snell for Baez, I would be absolutely thrilled.
  23. What is this infatuation with Boxberger? He's not good. He had one great year in 2014 and has otherwise been poor. His 2015 peripherals are just bad. 4.26FIP 4.00xFIP 4.57BB/9 including a constantly high HR/FB%
  24. The Rays don't have relievers where it could be anything other than a bad deal.
  25. He said he doesn't want to start, but if we're talking hypothetically then no I wouldn't. The Cubs are trying to win a World Series and that's too much of a gamble.
