  1. Where are we going to find enough thick onion gravy, jorts and black guys to give all the new people?
  2. I'm never openly believing in anything again.
  3. All the people coming over from PSD are going to have a fun time learning that lesson when dealing with the king of the hot takes.
  4. We're giving it life, since it could have ended with the first post just saying "Never"
  5. Keep building that hype train.
  6. a 145 wRC+ isn't dominant? Does he need to go all 2019 Ty France putting up a historic season with a 197 wRC+ before it's considered dominating? In AAA in 2022 his GB% was 38.7, in 2023 it's 38.2. In MLB terms, 38.2 GB% would put him 48th in baseball ahead or tied with Luis Roberts, Pete Alonso, Adley Rutschman, Paul Goldschmidt, Rafael Devers, etc.
  7. Why? What else is there for him to learn in AAA? He dominated it in 2022, he's dominating it again in 2023. It's time for him to sink or swim so they know if he's going to be a guy going forward.
  8. I give up on predicting with them. If I remember right they rank very high on number of 10+ run games this year and then for the next few games they'll do basically nothing until you're convinced the offense is dead and another 10+ run game happens.
  9. Yes, if you're going to imply he failed based on 99 PAs then I can also use a small sample size to say he was adjusting. The point being, there's zero reason he shouldn't be given another chance and he never should have been sent down to begin with.
  10. Wow I didn't know that. I guess message boards are just fading away now. The Rotoworld forums were just shut down a week or so ago as well.
  11. They had 12 hits with 2 strikes. I think that's the crazier stat.
  12. This is being intentionally obtuse. Firstly, as was previously mentioned, it was 99 PAs. Trying to draw long term conclusions from that just doesn't work. Even with that, He was showing significant batted ball improvement. From May 5th to June 1st 27.5 SOFT% 30 MED% 42.5 HARD% 17.5 LD%, 52.5 GB%, 30 FB% 90.6 EV From June 1st until he was sent down 22.2 SOFT% 33.3 MED% 44.4 HARD% 22.2 LD% 33.3 GB% 44.4 FB% 92.1 EV Though the results weren't there yet, he was clearly starting to figure things out(thanks .118 babip). He was putting more balls in the air and the quality of contact was spiking.
  13. Seiya really needed a big night like this. Hopefully he feeds off of it.
  14. If they manage to lose today and tomorrow, the Cubs are responsible for 15% of the Nats wins this year.
  15. I went to feed my dog in a commercial with the Cubs about to come up and I come back and it's in commercial again. Did I miss like a 90 second half inning?
  16. By all means, please keep giving Mancini as many at bats as possible.
  17. I'm getting real close to saying just burn it down entirely. Deal Steele, Stroman, Bellinger, etc. Clean the FO and start things fresh.
  18. It's going to take a miracle for this to be a competitive team in 2024
  19. 4k through 2 innings for Corbin. This team absolutely sucks.
  20. Well this was over nice and quick. Taillon needs to hit the 60 day IL and try to come back in 2024 being slightly less terrible.
  21. Pitcher with one of the worst K rates in baseball strikes out 2 in the first
