    In the last 30 years at least, I think only once(1999) a team lower than a #5 seed made the NBA finals.

    I would reverse NHL and MLB. I mean in the NHL a couple of years ago, the conference finals consisted of the last 4 NHL champs. The Kings and Blackhawks have won 4 of the last 6 Cups and are among the favorites to win this year. That said, there is definitely some crapshoot elements, especially in the early rounds where 8 seeds routinely upset 8 seeds. In fact I remember in 2010, the 4-6-7-8 seeds in the East all won their first round series. I still don't think it holds a cake to baseball where teams like the Braves can make the playoffs 14 years in a row and only win 1 championship. True, on baseball it probably is a bigger crapshoot Speaking of 2010 NHL, that year while the 4-6-7-8 all won in the East those very same seeds lost in the West.

    My take on playoff crapshoots, from most to least: 1. NHL 2. MLB 3. NFL 4. NBA

    With the holes they have on this team? NO. Unless this was the 1983 or 2004 NFL draft.

    That could be part of it. Crow is much better than Raanta, who gives up his crease way way too much. Darling we really havent seen enough of him yet to say if he is the real deal.

    And I have Amazon gift cards from Xmas. Guess I know what I'm spending it on. I have some too, might have to get a second one for the bedroom tv. Not sure if you can have more than one on the same wifi network though?

    Streaming is great if you're ok watching it on your own. If I wanna watch it in the living room with my wife, it's more challenging. My DVR failed to record the penultimate episode of Fargo so we ended up watching that one on the computer and I fail to see how it would be difficult to watch something like that together unless you are afraid of being near your wife. Not at all...but I'd rather be near my wife on the couch than back in the office with a couple office chairs pushed together. I could torrent it, and put it on a thumb drive, and watch it via the PS3...it's just a hassle. You are basically describing the Chromecast's killer use case. Yup works fine on Chromecast, all you have to do is download EPIX app on your phone and stream via chromcast to your tv, feed is perfect.

    Maybe Harbaugh has a layover at Ohare on the way to Michigan and George is going to the airport to make a pitch. I know that's a pipe dream.

    Watched episode 2 of Road to the Winter Classic. Tear jerker with Clint Reif passing.

    I was at that game, best game I have ever been to(and it even topped the 2010 and 2013 game 5's of the SCF I went to). UC was bedlam after the game, I got hugs from complete strangers on Madison St walking out to the car.

    This I think a 4th or a 5th is the most you could hope for. I hope the Bears keep Jay but I think its less than 50/50 he is back. Someone mentioned Mariota before? He projects to be a below average NFL QB. No thanks

    Why didn't Trestman announce the change during his P.C? Unless the call to bench Cutler came straight from the top?? To avoid answering questions about it. Plus, you don't announce changes at PC, you announce it to the team and have a press conference to discuss it after the players know. Once the players know, the media knows anyway. Right, he should have told the team and then mentioned it to the press. This is like rats escaping a sinking ship, everyone looking to cover their own ass

    1st episode of Road to the Winter Classic is out. Epix.com its a free trial and all you have to do is give them an email address. It works via chromcast, show was very good. Q swears a lot.

    I just might have to stop by Mickey Finn's on the way home The show is so much more enjoyable on the video stream. I'm not 100% sure why. I went to one of their outings prior to the Bears Jets games I don't recall either of them drinking. It looks like Terry is already on beer #4. I hope they video stream this more often, the comments section is also entertaining.

    Interesting, I thought given the stretch of starts he got, they favored him over Raanta. Does Raanta have a 2 way contract? I know he was sent down briefly, but that was to get him playing time, likely something he agreed to. I don't believe he has a two way contract. Probably why he stays. But all 3 goalies have for the most part been fantastic this year

    Wow, Detroit opened at -4.5 it already jumped to -7?

    If Trestman is gone, you have to let Emery go. He can't pick another coach, and he cant do another draft. Phillips has to go the way of Crane Kenny but I don't think the Bears will do that.

    Yeah Doug and OB said 10,549 now shows, I do think ownership will get involved but the Bears/NFL are still getting their money from the season ticket holders if they show up or not.

    Need 16 points from Mark Ingram in a PPR league to advance to the championship game. I am optimistic.
