  1. They also have more wins in Soldier Field than the Bears in 2014
  2. The Chicago Blackhawks do not have a single 2nd period goal this entire 2014-15 season That's about the only negative I can come up with in the first five games.
  3. Yup. Agree, he made the 3rd line look good(the only line that looked weak so far this year) 5 game unbeaten streak to start the season, and until yesterday haven't looked in top form. I don't think any team will top the 2010 Hawks but this team has a chance to be better than the 2013 team(not including The Streak) Richards I will give some time to, he might need to find his legs, plus he is with a new team, and he had a daughter born just before the season started.
  4. According to Uverse game WILL be aired on Fox at 830am Chicago time
  5. Rumor has it Crow is just sick, so not anything to worry about long term unless he has Ebola or something. Raanta needs a start soon anyway. Versteeg in, so hopefully Carbomb out, but knowing Q it will be Morin that sits.
  6. This old lady called into the Mully and Hanley show this morning, telling all of Chicagoland how she told them so in that the Bears should have kept McCown instead of Cutler :banghead: I only wish she would have called Boers and Bernstein. Cutler has had some costly turnovers, but the offensive play calling and clock management has been baffling so far this season. Im starting to think Trestman is in over his head. I wonder why the hell Shea Mcclellin is even a starter other than the fact he was Emery's first draft pick. Patriots win Sunday but don't cover 31-27
  7. Packer fans that live away from the state line are usually pretty decent. Its the ones who live in Southern Wisconsin or Illinois who are the assholes.
  8. Be glad. I thought that the Bengals had a rather apathetic fan base, but my ears were ringing from hearing their yokel fans telling "WHO DEY, WHO DEY, WHO DEY SAY GONNA BEAT DEM BENGALS" in my ears for 4 hours. I think because Bears fans travel so well, home fans feel threatened and really let our fans hear if if/when they win/dominate. I went to that game, they weren't that bad, compared to how some Bears fans treat opposing fans at Soldier Field. Although their rather strong redneck accent was quite annoying. Who Dey had to be stolen from the Saints Who Dat? I left at halftime and got back to Chicago two hours quicker than I thought.
  9. Road Bears games are always fun. My last one I went on was vs Tennessee, all the Titans fans were leaving in the 2nd quarter of that one. This year's road schedule, Atlanta seemed like the most enticing option for Bears fans to make a trip. Not a lot of other good road games to go to this year like Tampa, Miami, Nashville, or New Orleans.
  10. Hawks will only be playing their third game, while Calgary their 5th(they are playing Nashville tonight). I agree this lull is making me wish for a shortened season.
  11. no way, shootouts are awesome for the regular season. they just need to make it 5 shooters each. They are a gimmick to make sure there is a "winner" and a "loser". Its about as random as having Toews and the Jamie Benn meeting at center ice and playing "rock scissors paper" for the extra point. Duncan Keith played 29 minutes? :banghead: Carbomb is worthless. Crawford won the game for the Hawks. is it okay if someone ends the game in overtime on a breakaway? Big difference between that and a shootout
  12. Colorado gets ripped 6-0 last night. Its just one game but I really do believe that team is on the outside looking in come playoff time.
  13. We played with pretty much 4 defensemen. Rundblad played 6 minutes. TVR played just short of 12 min. I guess I shouldn't get so worked up. They play tomorrow, then are off until Wednesday, and are off after that for awhile. Only two games in nine days or something like that. Plus they are playing Buffalo and Calgary.
  14. It would be like playing the 10th inning in baseball than going to a HR derby to decide the winner. Just leave it a tie, after OT and move on.
  15. no way, shootouts are awesome for the regular season. they just need to make it 5 shooters each. They are a gimmick to make sure there is a "winner" and a "loser". 16. Did I hear a "Leddy lost his stick" at the start of that? Yes you did. I remember that play, he partially blocked the shot which caused the weird bounce. If he got in front of the shot the goal never would have happened and maybe the Hawks win it in OT and win the Cup.
  17. Sharks beat Kings 4-0  Sharks always look like world beaters before April 15th. Kings always look mediocre before April 15th.
  18. Sorry if this was already posted in a previous thread. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkueOZd_bgM&feature=youtu.be
  19. Before 1969 there were no playoffs, as for that year it more was the Mets getting really hot more than the Cubs choking.
  20. Chicago Blackhawks +700 Boston Bruins +850 Los Angeles Kings +900 Pittsburgh Penguins +1100 Anaheim Ducks +1200 St. Louis Blues +1200 San Jose Sharks +1400 Tampa Bay Lightning +1400 New York Rangers +1600 Montreal Canadiens +1800 Colorado Avalanche +2000 Minnesota Wild +2000 Detroit Red Wings +2500 Dallas Stars +2500 Philadelphia Flyers +2800 Columbus Blue Jackets +3300 Toronto Maple Leafs +5000 Vancouver Canucks +3300 Washington Capitals +4000 Edmonton Oilers +9000 New Jersey Devils +5000 Arizona Coyotes +5000 Winnipeg Jets +7500 Ottawa Senators +6600 Calgary Flames +12500 Carolina Hurricanes +10000 New York Islanders +6600 Florida Panthers +12500 Nashville Predators +7500 Buffalo Sabres +10000
  21. That was my first year following the Cubs. I remember being in school and our teacher had the game on the radio. 13-0 romp in game 1, Sutcliff homered. I think I got home in time for the 7th inning. Don't remember much about game two other than they won 4-2 or something like that. Then the weekend in San Diego, what a gut punch. But had they beaten San Diego, the Tigers probably would have won that series. 2003 was much worse imo though, They would have beaten the Yankees.
  22. Versteeg is out 3 weeks per Coach Q. I like this team on paper this year better too. Don't expect them to win the presidents trophy, or even the Central. But I think in the end they take the Cup. Next year I hope the cap will move up to 74 million, but even so they will lose Sharp/ Seabrook and while it won't be as bad as summer of 2010 they might take a step back for a season.
  23. I see a rematch of the 2013 Cup. Chicago vs Boston with Chicago winning again. Tampa seems to be a team on the rise with the "experts" I also see Colorado taking a huge step back.
  24. I think closer to kickoff it will be a pickem.
  25. I think they have found the price point where people won't be so eager to go higher. It went from $120 - $300 from the early 2000s to late 2000s but it has held steady the past few years after several people dumped or threatened to dump on the last price bump. I'm considering dropping DTV. I can pay it, and I like DTV in general, but I did some math on the expense. This year I will miss around 6 Bear games without NFLST. Give or take a game. I think ST with the extras is $350 or something like that. So I'm paying ~$60 for each of those 6 games. Yes, I know you get more with ST but let's face it, I'm paying for those 6 games because I wouldn't buy the thing if it wasn't for the Bears. And I'm moving to a new house, right down the street from a BW3. The first step though is to call them and say I'm leaving. See what they do to try to keep me. Been a customer for 15 years. Friend of mine, in Vegas stopped getting Sunday ticket because of this exact reason. He lives a few blocks from Green Valley Ranch so he just goes to the sports book on games that the Bears aren't shown locally. He doesn't gamble so he doesn't have to worry about losing money. And yes call Direct Tv, I called and told them Uverse was in the neighborhood and I set an appointment to switch, she said Direct Tv was superior(even though they are really the same company now). I said money was the difference, she said she would knock $25 off my bill, I still said that wasn't enough, she asked if she could give me anything complimentary to keep me as a loyal customer so I asked for Sunday Ticket and she gave it to me free. I am only a subscriber for 4 years.
