  1. The Natural Hopefully his career doesn't turn out like Roy Hobbs
  2. I think his MLB debut will be on the road 4-20 in Pittsburgh
  3. That was fantastic http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lzw133qjqC1r2dgi3o1_400.gif
  4. Lines tonight Saad Toews Shaw Sharp Vermette Hossa Bickell Richards TT Nordstrom Kruger Versteeg Shaw on the top line
  5. Also Minnesota and LA won. No help tonight
  6. LA has a pretty brutal schedule from what I've heard. I think at this point bot WCs are coming from the Central so LA will have to pass the Flames to get in. I think the Canucks will hold on to 2nd. If the Wild were smart, they'd aim for the 2nd WC spot so they could breeze through the Pacific Division instead of having to slug their way through the Central. Wow! You are right LA has it tough. 7 of 10 on the road to close out the season. Tue. Mar. 24 Los Angeles N.Y. Rangers 4:00 PM NBCSN Thu. Mar. 26 Los Angeles N.Y. Islanders 4:00 PM FSW Sat. 7. Now 3pts behind STL and 2 behind Nashville with a game in hand on both. I personally would like them to finish 2nd and have home ice vs Nashville and let St Louis deal with what will probably be Minnesota. The Ducks will probably finish 1st in the West but everyone seems so bunched up. LA might not get in, but they could also jump up to 2nd in the Pacific.
  8. Just got back from Arizona, saw three games and won all three. Kris Bryant only played the Saturday game I attended but he looked stunning not only on his 2 HR's but looked good at 3rd too. I know it wasn't a large sample size. Some thoughts The Sox stadium is way the [expletive] out there in Glendale, they say the game was sold out, so I found decent seats on stub hub for $2 under face value night before game. The Portillos by Sloan Park tastes just as good as any Portillos in Chicagoland.
  9. And if we play decently well we can earn home ice in that series. We have 3 games in hand and only 4 points behind if the tiebreaker is H2H we have that as well. First tiebreaker is R.O.W. Which the Hawks should get that if the catch Nashville
  10. Damn. Just a few months ago Bettman said 73 million. Canadian dollar is now down to 73 cents
  11. Yup and St Louis could be playing LA! If they finish #1 in the West and LA gets 2nd WC spot, which is where they both are now. Hawks now 5 points from first, they have two games in hand on Nashville. I think St Louis will take the division but the Hawks can take 2nd and have home ice on the Predators. Crazy, just thinking about when Kane went down, they were 12 points behind Nashville.
  12. Friend of mine on facebook said he thought 85-90% Hawks fans. That is crazy! 2011 when I last went there was probably a 50-50 split and that was a Saturday game. Pat and Steve on the telecast said that game sold out three months ago. Mike Smith what a tool. Richards looked like he had an extra step. Sharp looked a lot better, but he clearly is pressing.
  13. He is average, and lets see what this year's draft yields or for that matter next year.
  14. Damn! In 2011 we bought the tickets from the ticket office for like $18 a ticket. They were upper level behind the goal but they seem to be doing what other teams do when the Hawks, Detroit, Pittsburgh, or Montreal are in town.
  15. I did a Cubs-Sox in Glendale then Hawks Coyotes game in 2011 . I did change from my Cubs jersey to Hawks sweater in parking lot. But no joke the Coyotes stadium AC has to be set below 60F. They actually sell hot chocolate there.
  16. Oduya back on Thursday.
  17. Yes he did, and he looked like the best player on the ice for the Hawks until OT.
  18. Well they have only lost once in regulation since Kane went down. However their offense wasn't playing well with Kane, now it's putrid without. Crawford has been bailing them out.
  19. Interesting Nashville 89pts 66 games played St Louis 85pts 64 games played Chicago 83pts 65 games played Minnesota 79pts 65 games played Hawks can finish anywhere from 1st to 4th. Kane is out, but they appear to have the easiest schedule of the four teams. Plus they play St Louis twice in last week of season.
  20. I am listing mine on there now. But they don't allow instant download yet. Not sure how that works should they sell as I did the print at home option
  21. Ha true! I met him and Boers last fall at Bannerman's in Bartlett during one of their shows leading up to the Bears-Jets MNF game. He is every bit the jerk in person as he is on the radio. Insulting people in the audience just like he does with the callers. Although maybe the people in the audience are as stupid as his callers? He and Boers were out the door the second the show ended.
  22. I got two in 235 for opening night. I had 10 windows open, because work got in the way. Usually I have 30 windows going on two different computers. Got in on two windows right away. Damn, $59 face value but after fees the total came to just over $146
  23. Reinsdorf sucks, plus Miller has a roof that will eliminate rain outs which would be impossible to make-up with 162 home games all in the same season. Plus, I would not be surprised if gate revenues would be likely higher from Miller rather than Reinsdorf's stadium. For a whole season I doubt it. A lot of fans in the northern suburbs can make it to Miller in an hour or less but for an entire season there is no way they would reach the revenue at the Cell. Could they even get 5K Cub fans to buy season tickets at Miller park?
  24. It begs the question: is a team like Calgary better off missing the playoffs and improving their draft position? There's no way they beat Van and whoever beats the Ducks. It's a long shot but they could still win the lottery with f they miss the playoffs. Only the bottom 5 teams are eligible for the lottery I believe.
  25. I pulled up opening day tickets for the 12 game package. Might have to pull the trigger as I plan on going to 10-15 games this year anyway.
