Whether it makes sense to you or not it is still the stated rule, and therefore you need to follow it the same as anybody else. It would obviously be unfair for you to benefit because you pick and choose whether to follow the rules based on whether they make sense to you while others willingly follow the rules. This is exactly the same attitude you had with the Ben Sheets issue last year. You violated a stated rule, then argued that it didn't make sense, and when the commish agreed with your position it was too late to be fair to others who had followed the stated rules. Everybody needs to be on a level playing field, and that level field is to play by the stated rules, try to get a rule changed if you don't think it makes sense, then make your move AFTER the rule is changed, not before.
