Not a happy day today, with both the Bears and Colts losing. :cry: As far as the contest is concerned nobody did better than 2-2 this week. Here are the overall standings (with this week's record in parentheses): 5-3: circlechange (2-2), DJAXXFAN (2-2), Mark_R (2-2), NCCubbieFan (2-2), sethuel1 (2-2) 4-4: Cubbies75 (2-2), Fred Hornkohl (2-2), Mizzou (2-2), rawaction (1-3), Rocket Sauce (2-2), sweetpeteman (1-3), Treebeard (1-3) 3-5: Mark Prior's Calves (1-3), Transmogrified Tiger (1-3) 2-6: Is_Pedro_There (1-3) 0-8: IMB! (0-4; guaranteed to finish the contest 0-11) It's obviously IMB!'s fault that the Bears and Colts lost today, since he picked them to win and all his picks lose. :twisted:

IMB!'s perfect record is still intact. As a Bears and Colts fan, I hope he finally gets a couple right tomorrow. :D

With this close call, hopefully the fans will realize what they nearly lost and start showing as much interest in the team as people on this board do. Having a minor league team that's in contention most years is something people in many towns would die for. -

Is this common knowledge? I've never heard this before. I don't recall the details, but he did have drug problems near the end of his career. EDIT: Here's an article exerpt from The Cub Reporter which mentions Durham's drug problems:

I'd read sometime in the past that WCIU simply doesn't have the equipment needed for its telecasts to be picked up on satellite.

Not really. Nothing too impressive, anyway. 279/328/401/729 For a SS in a pitcher's league at his age, that's pretty good. Good enough to get him on his league's All-Star team, if I recall correctly. And it was before 2004, not last year, when he was added to the roster and many of us were in disbelief.

The VineLine actually went out earlier than Tuesday, since I got mine on Tuesday. Since there was no mail on Monday due to New Year's, it would actually had to have gone out last week in order for me to receive it on Tuesday.

Benji's brother, Jose, played for the Cubs in 1999. If they sign Benji then they only need to get Yadier in order to have had all three catching Molina brothers (albeit at different times). -
