ESPN is now reporting that the stadium will definitely be unavailable tomorrow night, and the NFL is exploring options to play the game tomorrow night either at the University of Minnesota stadium or at another NFL domed stadium.
I mentioned this in the other games thread too, but the problems in Minnesota will have some impact on the Bears-Vikings game next week. Even if the damage is minor enough that it can be fixed in time to play in Minnesota tomorrow night, at a minimum the Bears will now have one more day of rest than the Vikings between games.
Depending on how long it takes to repair the damage this could also affect the Bears game in Minnesota next Monday night. At a minimum the Bears now have the advantage of an extra day of rest over the Vikings.
One suggestion I read was to move the game to Kansas City since the Giants are already there. One thing that would not be an option would be to delay the game further; the Giants would never agree to play later than tomorrow night because they have a big game against the Eagles next Sunday and they're already going to have one less day between games. Wherever it is played, even though the Fox telecast will only be available over the air in New York and Minnesota, it will be available nationwide to Sunday Ticket subscribers.
I hope it's televised somewhere. NFL Network maybe? I care a hell of a lot more about that game than I do Ravens-Texans on Monday night. I believe that NFL rules say that the game can only be broadcast in local markets. That's how it was a couple years ago when the Texans game was pushed to Monday night due to the storm down there. Yep; regional coverage in New York and Minnesota on Fox.
The storm is expected to end tonight. I haven't seen any word on contingency plans, but it seems to me that one possibility could be to move the game to the late afternoon slot, depending on how long the travel delay is.
The current top five are Lee MacPhail (93), Bobby Doerr (92), Feller (92), Monte Irvin (91), and Musial (90). They are the only ones 90 and over. Oldest living HOF members
They're not trading him for freaking Wells. They want prospects. They are trying to open up a rotation spot for Jeremy Hellickson. Yeah, I think another starting pitcher would be the last thing they'd want. They also have Jake McGee waiting in the wings.
Probably this guy. According to MiLB.com he's the only minor league pitcher named Jacobson or Jacobsen, he is with the Orioles, and he did pitch in A (Carolina League) this past year.
I finally won again (thanks largely to Sanchez's suckfest tonight), but my team really needs to step it up for me to have any chance in the playoffs. I think what's hurt me most in recent weeks is LT remembering that he's past his prime and Collie and Smith (the Giant) being injured.
