Because I am a blockhead. In the NSBB fantasy football league I have four running backs (Steven Jackson, Earnest Graham, Jamal Lewis, and Dominic Rhodes) for two starting positions. In recent weeks I've been starting Graham and Lewis, since Jackson missed several weeks due to injury and Rhodes has been invisible since returning from his suspension. This week I return Jackson to the lineup since he's playing again and Graham is out due to Tampa Bay's bye week. Or so I thought. Stupidly, I forgot to actually click the Submit button, so the lineup change never went through. By the time I check on today's performances the early games have already started, and Rhodes was the only RB I could use as a bye week replacement due to the others' games already having started. So I have Jackson's two touchdowns on my bench and Rhodes' two rushing yards in my lineup. Fortunately, even blockheads can get lucky. Despite effectively forfeiting one of the RB positions I still lead by 10 points, plus I have one player (Reggie Wayne) remaining and my opponent is done. Whew!
