  1. Even better, good to see him actually getting batters out again.
  2. The Colts offense is on this list right now. I have Manning, Wayne, and Harrison all active this week in the NSBB league and Wayne in another league. They were completely incompetent today. I also hate Reggie Bush for getting injured and missing the next 3-4 weeks. That leaves me thin at RB in one league.
  3. Larry Johnson. He rushes for 2 yards the week after he rushes for 198, then he gets himself suspended for a game.
  4. Ouch and double ouch; that's approaching Luke Hagerty territory. :(
  5. Foster and Gonzalez both the same year.
  6. Hopefully the time he had off for his back injury also helped cure him of his Steve Blass Disease.
  7. I've reset Survival Football so we can start a new contest. People who missed it the first time can join now; same group ID and password as before (see first post in this thread).
  8. Fixed. :D
  9. I think it's safe to say they'll be going to a bowl game this year. If so I believe it will be the first time ever they've been to bowl games in back-to-back years.
  10. Survival Football has come to a stunning end. The Rams' shocking win over the Redskins took out all of the remaining players except for I'm Batman! (who barely survived due to the Vikings' close win over the Lions). Since there is still more than half the season remaining I'll reset the league over the next few days (after the final results have been made official) and we'll start a new contest next week.
  11. I approve of this message. :D
  12. I'm not happy with the way it turned out, but I don't see it as the end of the world either.
  13. Dallas has alot of weapons, Barber isn't as good of a running back as he is a real life back as a result. I would have held out for someone better, or I would have given Peyton instead of Eli. Despite the start to their seasons I still think Peyton is better than Eli (just my personal opinion, perhaps biased by the fact that the Colts are my second favorite team behind Da Bears). I actually posted on the league message board several weeks ago that I was interested in trading Eli for a good RB, and this was the first bite I got at all.
  14. Jim Hendry will come to your house, hand you a check, and kick you in the nuts. You will then thank him and make an appointment for the same time next year. "Thank you, sir. May I please have another?"
  15. I just traded Eli Manning and Michael Pittman for Marion Barber. I still have Peyton Manning and Matt Ryan at QB (only one QB active), but at RB I was starting the likes of Rudi Johnson. So I see that as trading from a position of strength for a major need.
  16. The other poll has a "don't care" choice.
  17. My highest confidence point pick for this weekend. Ball State over Western Kentucky. Most points scored: Ball State. Least points scored: Western Kentucky. The contest has gotten more fun this week.
  18. Once again my three favorite teams (Bears, Colts, and Panthers) play at the same time. Ugh.
  19. just posting a message in a particular thread or in my own thread? Please clarify. Thanks. In any thread. It doesn't matter who started the thread as long as you post in it.
  20. No he doesn't. He hit a wall and had a bad second half. There's no reason he can't rebound next year. People were expecting too much from him in his first year.
  21. I agree with making the LDS 7 games and leaving the rest of it alone (except for "This Time It Counts," which absolutely must go). I would have liket to have seen what would have happened in the 1984 NLCS if it had been 7 games instead of 5 back then. The Cubs would have returned home for the final two games and perhaps would have pulled it out.
  22. And except for today they've been doing it against real competition. This year is looking like a very pleasant surprise. Maybe last year was an aberration rather than the start of a decline.
  23. After the Cubs ripped my heart out and stomped on it yesterday it was good to see my three favorite football teams (Bears, Colts, and Panthers) win on the same day for the first time all year. And two of them (Bears and Panthers) have sole possession of first place in their divisions.
  24. If this place wants to be serious about enforcing board guidelines then this guy should be gone for this post I saw Modzilla lurking around here.
