  1. Would Jerry Tilllery be worth a flyer?
  2. i dont know how awesome this is (or isnt) but its interesting that Poles still enjoys scouting even though he has a mountain of other tasks - i'm sure. It seems like a good thing to have a "football" guy leading the way.
  3. Id be surprised if Mike Martz understood anything but a 8 step drop back pass
  4. I cant tell if hes serious there or not, but I took it as a pretty condescending remark. Like, why would JF listen to an opposing coach? if he was joking, well work on your delivery a bit dude (McDaniels - not you) He was clearly joking, and his delivery was so good that you couldn't tell he was joking. He has a future in stand up. I want to see him in a Curb episode, pronto. the longer piece of the interview helps in my opinion and is just as funny Following one of Justin Fields' runs Sunday, he ended up near Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel. McDaniel said something that caused Fields to smile. Do you know what McDaniel said to him? Eric H. Hong Kong After one of his many runs took Justin Fields out of bounds on the Dolphins sideline, Miami coach Mike McDaniel told the Bears quarterback to "stop it." As you probably know, Fields rushed for 178 yards, the most ever by a quarterback in an NFL regular-season game. McDaniel was asked about his comment to Fields Monday and joked: "I just wanted him to stop scrambling and it was pretty irritating because he didn't listen at all. He didn't take the coaching." Fields had eight runs of at least 10 yards, the most by a player this season, including a spectacular 61-yard TD. More good stuff from McDaniel: "I think Justin is really starting to get a feel for when he can utilize his full scale of gifts and he's making plays more and more and becoming more and more difficult to defend. So at that stage of the game, I figured no one had asked him to stop it, so I gave it a try. I think other coaches can learn from my experience that he does not listen, so rely on other tactics." https://www.chicagobears.com/news/chalktalk/what-did-dolphins-coach-say-to-fields-chalk-talk

  6. Oh man, he's my favorite NFL coach by a wide margin. I cant tell if hes serious there or not, but I took it as a pretty condescending remark. Like, why would JF listen to an opposing coach? if he was joking, well work on your delivery a bit dude (McDaniels - not you)
  7. "he didnt take the coaching" lollololol - get lost creep
  8. FIelds POTW https://apple.news/AvlEzHmS0QFq6FeiFH4epRQ
  9. 1 1/2 games behind SF for the final wildcard spot, who the Bears have the H2H against. Of course, the Niners appear extremely likely to get better down the stretch. The AFC South winner will be terrible, but the most likely way a wildcard team gets in at 9-8 or 8-9 is if teams like Seattle or the Giants implode, and both are at least 3 games ahead in the loss column. Giants have a really tough schedule though. Seattle's one of the easiest on paper, but part of them collapsing would probably mean a couple losses to the Rams, who would then be in competition with a hot Bears team for that last spot. I felt like the no-call PI at the end of the Dolphins game kind of sealed the Bears fate. At this point I wouldn't feel confident that the Bears have any shot at the playoffs outside of running the table and going 11-6, or the Vikings losing Cousins for the season - soon.
  10. Utah State ≠ Southern Utah also I'm not sure Braxton has ever blocked for anyone
  11. I mean there it is as you quoted, completely different words! I read your post as saying you didn't think the offense needs to be upgraded. It's exactly how it reads whether you agree or not. I see a need for one more playmaking WR and at least 2 OLinemen. By adding 2 linemen, I believe you turn the line into a strength as they will also now have respectable depth at most of the positions. Nah, you are all misreading it and in my haste of getting through the day at work I just let it fester after years of trying to build an offense and failing at nearly every turn, the last 3 games make it seem like the Bears as a franchise has turned a corner. Tge offense isn't perfect, clearly it's not, everyone knows that. But the biggest change has been Justin Fields. The one thing the Bears have never had prior was a top flight qb It's horsefeathering exciting
  12. Hutchinson might want to try and avoid not twisting his ankles trying to keep up with Fields
  13. I feel like one of the better signals of Fields development has been Kmet. 3 Td passes in the last 2 games. Kmet was always a question on his own development path, but it appears that as Fields gets better, so goes Kmet.
  14. nope. they haven't drafted an OL 1st in a lonnnnng time. 2010, and 2011 in fact.
  15. who are the lions? (alright I'll stop)
  16. It's not really about the Lions. The Patriots game was unexpected and seemed a little fluke-y. Dallas was fun, but loss. Miami was fun, also a loss. But this is as expected a win that's left on the schedule. I want a preview of what a good offensive team should do to teams like the Lions. And that's how they should be bad teams going forward I understand that point, but I also want the Packers coach on the hot seat, their children eaten...etc
  17. from the article: The injury did not affect Allen’s arm strength Sunday. His final pass, an incompletion to wide receiver Gabe Davis, was the farthest pass thrown in the NFL the past six seasons.
  18. they have a habit of doing just that dont they? eta: I'd be pretty stunned if GB didn't draft a wr unless they decided Love just wasn't it. Love isn't it. screen shot of their last 11 1st rd picks It's amazing to have Rodgers as a Qb and be that concerned with the defense on draft day
  19. wouldn't it be fun if the Bears end up at like #7 and GB at #8, or even #6. just enough to make that trade more about screwing over the packers than it is about how Pittsburghs benefit by choosing Chi over GB It will be pretty amusing for me to watch the Packers pass over even BETTER obvious WR picks in the first round, next year. they have a habit of doing just that dont they? eta: I'd be pretty stunned if GB didn't draft a wr unless they decided Love just wasn't it.
  20. I dont really feel that way about the Lions. The Packers on the other hand....
  21. no I didnt I mean there it is as you quoted, completely different words!
  22. The biggest piece to any nfl team puzzle is the qb. that appears to be solved with Fields. Whats dumb about that? they have the rest of the season to evaluate who they have around him and its not the "dumbest take" to suggest that they may end the season higher on those guys then they were even 2 weeks ago. clearly there are holes, I'm not saying ignore the offense in the off season You said maybe it doesn’t need to be upgraded. It very clearly needs to be upgraded. no I didnt
  23. you mean the Lions right? jk
  24. the offense almost doesnt need to be upgraded at this point. maybe accented, better interior OL perhaps, more time developing Fields/Mooney/Claypool/Kmet Thank Christ you’re not our GM. This is one of the dumbest takes I’ve seen on here in a while. The biggest piece to any nfl team puzzle is the qb. that appears to be solved with Fields.
