  1. As bad as the Bears have been at drafting and developing QBs, their inability to do so with pass rushers is equally bad. Floyd never developed into a pass rusher and before that wasn't Mark Andersen the last one? Bauzin
  2. I dont hate the idea of JJ Watt assuming 1) he's healthy 2) he signs a reasonable contract that doesn't kill us on a Arob deal
  3. Who would cost less? Other then cost I'd lean Mariota, then Minshew, lastly Darnold
  4. what part of "tank this horsefeathers" dont you understand The people who are serious about Darnold being a reclamation project aren't pro-tank. They have just been bludgeoned by the team for decades so they have no standards for the team See, I read all of that like "if Darnold success for us, yay, if he helps us tank, YAY" Or maybe that was just my inner voice
  5. what part of "tank this horsefeathers" dont you understand
  6. ah, I dont remember hearing about any of that but makes sense
  7. refresh my memory, what was it about? I believe that former bears staffer and occasional XFL exec Greg Gabriel said something about suspecting the bears didn’t want Ballard since he was a part of the organization and knows what needs to be fixed? i'm reading into this: Ted Phillips or the McCaskeys were the issue?
  8. refresh my memory, what was it about?
  9. Why would they release him? He’s cheap and young, they’ll trade him for something. And fwiw, a rando ny sports talk host and thinks they can get a late 1st for him. That’s insane but it’s reasonable to assume they can get a pick for him. its also reasonable to assume that since its the Jets were speaking of, any stupidity would be possible
  10. yup. "we're going to be big players in the qb market" until they realize they are playing from a little player position. Foles and Mac Jones (?) here we come
  11. That's good to read, appears Pace has figured out Wentz isn't going anywhere fast and it's wise to wait the Eagles out. I don't think Pace figured that out. MAAAAYBE Nagy, more likely George, but def not Pace.
  12. You want to trade Hicks and replace him with Watt? If Watt would play for a significantly lower cap hit than the 12 Hicks is going to get, then yes. Sent from my SM-A115AZ using Tapatalk with Goldman back and Nichols coming on, Hicks isn't as critical as he once was. Quinn, however.... I also would be a bit surprised to see JJ Watt taking a big pay cut, however.
  13. I havent paid much attention to the 'Hawks in a few seasons, but their latest surge is great to see. cant wait to see them dominate Seattle at the Space Needle
  14. I understand the view that RB's never last, and that DM likley had a career year with nothing but decline from here out, but its also possible (on the rosey side) that he could have a successful career. I can be guilty of being the optimist.
  15. I mean, if he isn't pushing close to those numbers next year, you start looking for his replacement sure. But I don't see the definitive reason he wont You said 5-6 more years. Nobody counts on a RB beyond the season they're about to play, at the most. 5-6 years total would be a successful career, and he's already finished 2. And that is after a three year college career with with 700 touches. I'm not arguing he is set for 5-6 years, I'm saying he should be able to keep up the production barring injury. Obviously, there is no guarantee. eta: maybe not "likley" as I did say
  16. jag or not, he put up over 1k rushing and 1500 total yfs, and he's 23 meaning he likely should hover around those numbers for 5-6 more years barring injury. Sure, if you can draft a Cook you do so, but RB is far from a need right now lol come on man I mean, if he isn't pushing close to those numbers next year, you start looking for his replacement sure. But I don't see the definitive reason he wont
  17. yes jag or not, he put up over 1k rushing and 1500 total yfs, and he's 23 meaning he likely should hover around those numbers for 5-6 more years barring injury. Sure, if you can draft a Cook you do so, but RB is far from a need right now
  18. Looks like it was deleted and he replied: I know running backs dont matter and horsefeathers, but I do like DM as our RB
  19. Wait till you hear about this Brady guy's politics. oh, I've heard things. I'm more reacting to the southern god-worshiper aspect of Mahomes mother, not that Brady is any better
  20. given my recent discovery of Mahomes god-fearin mother's twitter account, I'm kind of happy Brady won
  21. How exactly do they set the salary cap?
  22. So Philly betting Wentz sucks and Bears betting not I'm sick of not having 1st round picks
  23. Weeelp, I guess I can plan some camping trips next fall
  24. I think we can safely assume the Colts are the ones balking at the asking cost. I really wish the Bears had gotten Ballard instead of Pace. Someone should make sure Pace understands what a dial tone is so he doesn't throw in a 3rd first round pick just in case
