  1. The state/city/public kicked in a god awful amount to build Soldier Field. I'm sure if the Bears wanted to build their own stadium they could, but why when the state is willing to give you a hand
  2. I'm not sure I like any 3 of those options over the McCaskeys Bezos, maybe, as long as he doesn't move the team Do you mean move the team from Chicago to the burbs? Or move the team outta state? I can’t see any buyer moving the team out of IL. out of the metro area mainly. It certainly can happen, and given the history of the Bears I would def not want it to. I honestly dont want them to move off the lakeshore and I'm not sure what the reason would be other then to get a bigger stadium and field turf. traffic?

  4. I think OMC was saying he was just doing the math in his head which is immediately what I was doing. But could be wrong. Oh, I was just responding to the original post that was seemingly making it sound like it's really weird/nuts/whatever that Gooden could be a great-grandfather at 56. I find it extremely weird he is only 56. Seems like forever since he was owning the league in the mid 1980's With all that has happened in baseball since, it seems eons ago
  5. i wouldn't say ironic, more coincidental, but horsefeathers those other teams. I want Fields and the Bears to taunt the nfl for years
  6. week 16. I'm buying tickets
  7. I think he'll be back. I think he's burnt up over Love being drafted, having am MVP season, and not winning the SB. But tough horsefeathers, and he'll be over it come training camp.
  8. wait, what? Dalton is upset? tough horsefeathers No, part of Rodgers thing is no one even told him they were drafting Love, and people are contrasting that with the fact that Nagy called Dalton twice making GB look worse. I see what you mean. otoh, who looks worse, the Packers or Rodgers? or both? lol
  9. wait, what? Dalton is upset? tough horsefeathers
  10. I cant imagine being a coach and hanging on to Andy Dalton when I have Justin Fields standing there
  11. I dont think anyone thought Mahomes was nearly as polished as Fields is, however. I think the pressure will be to move Fields into the starter role asap Didn't a lot of the things that Mahomes supposedly had to work on basically end up being totally moot because he was just so good? So basically; 1. Adjusting from Air Raid to a Pro offense (he hadn't ever ran a huddle!) - Probably didn't need a while season for that 2. Things like mechanics to which he basically responded with a "lol no I'm going to throw from 20 different arm slots, from my back foot, and sometimes even facing the opposite end zone because I can" well, yes, and Smith was playing very well
  12. Most teams still seem to want to put a vet up those first few games. Even from last years class, I think Burrow was the only day 1 starter. But teams will make it very easy for their starting vets to be Wally Pipp'd. Oh Dalton had a hang nail before week 5. Guess it's Fields' job now. Yeah I just worry about the fact that Nagy was on the Chiefs when they sat Mahomes his rookie year (besides Week 17). He's already alluded to this in press conferences. I dont think anyone thought Mahomes was nearly as polished as Fields is, however. I think the pressure will be to move Fields into the starter role asap
  13. Exactly were is raw tonight https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/2021/05/01/aaron-rodgers-wants-packers-gm-brian-gutekunst-out/4904735001/
  14. Gettin Justin Fields made the draft for 2 reasons: 1) he is the most talented QB in the draft IMO. I never dreamed we would have a chance to draft him with our lack of draft capital 2) it showed, that despite the Trubisky/Mahomes embarrassment and the Wilson non-trade slap-in-the-face, McCaskeys jumped right back into the fire. They had to, but it gives me a more pos view of ownership
  15. idk, maybe they will keep Miller around to see what he can do with Fields. at least for one season anyway.
  16. I kind of felt like Fields was sitting there, knowing he has played very well, and just watched himself drop out of the top 10 after being considered a possible 1 not long ago. I don't think he was mad at the bears, but I think he may go scorched earth on 1-10 in the draft order when he does start. I'm totally ok if he doesn't project total charisma
  17. His review video he said something like "#1 think is for me to keep my QBs safe .....even if I have to do something dirty..."" I thought "wow, it's Mongo on the offensive line"
  18. Why? It's not like Justin Fields is out yelling "look at my wonder lic!!!". If these analysts are wrong, it's their undoing. But the thing is, they are all saying the same thing: Fields is worth drafting at nearly any pick because as best they can tell, he will likely be very good, or even amazing. It's the best you can do to read it, and see.
  19. rumors out there that the bears are talking to the raiders about james daniels Whyyyy
  20. will he wear #1?
