  1. once again, in another way, El Mago
  2. Trevathan is ON the 53
  3. eta: now I cant find the game I thought AD played, I might be wrong about that.
  4. I already read the article so I know the answer but I would have known without it. That game was so awful but the Bears were in control the whole way because Forte ran for like 800 yards and the defense did the rest. When you look at it through the lens that Bears have had the most consistently bad QB situation in the league, it almost feels like the Bears have overachieved over that 35 year time period. 1 super bowl win, 1 other super bowl appearance, 2 other conference title game appearances, 13 total playoff appearances. All done with Jay Cutler as the best QB in that timeframe. I can already see someone like jersey replying and saying the Bears last 35 years should not be looked as overachieving in any way. Don't get me wrong, the Bears performance in that timeframe is probably within the bottom 10 of the league and should be viewed that way. But somehow we've been able to cobble together the little success that we did have over that span while handicapped at the most important position in sports the entire time. look at it this way, in the last 35 years both the the Vikings and Detroit have been arguably WORSE 0 SB appearances 0 SB wins and neither has won the Division more times then the Bears
  5. yea, Adams seems to have had a great camp and preseason. happy for him
  6. i hated this dopey jerk so much team horsefeathers it i'm throwing it downfield all the way. gotta unleash the dragon.
  7. What's wrong with Adams being the #4?
  8. https://bearswire.usatoday.com/2020/10/02/chicago-bears-told-patrick-mahomes-he-was-top-quarterback-choice-2017-nfl-draft-mitchell-trubisky/ If that's true, how the horsefeathers are any of you still Bears fans. bad GM's come and go. or sometimes they evolve. hopefully, Pace is in the process of the latter, but at worst I can rest on the former until the next [expletive] arrives
  9. Capt Idiot (Happ) overran 1st and was thrown out at first before the second run scored. First they counted the run, then they took it away on replay
  10. they got tax credits on the money they spent for the work they did on Wrigley, that makes more sense. They dont carry over the tax credits to their additional expenditures, ie just because they did a solid reno on Wrigley doesn't mean they get credits on other money they earn/spend. There are lots of reasons to hate the Ricketts, but this isnt one of them imo. Its a standard way to promote historical renos.
  11. How tone deaf are these bozos? Cry poor, sell off all their talent, push to build a sportsbook, and now hold a party to celebrate their self-perceived awesomeness including a plaque while their team is 2-18 in their last 20 games. Not only that, but they got the designation for the tax breaks and for no other reason. what? they only get tax exemption if they are a non-profit historical preservation corporation, I dont think they are that. maybe the City gave them some tax breaks, but the City gives lots of orgs tax breaks on their buildings
  12. I saw Fields running to his left and side arm the ball back to lead a WR moving towards his right. He hit the wr in stride! If that isnt arm strength in your head, you've never tried to make that throw. He must judges a wr's speed sometimes, but when he does it's only be a 1/2 step or so
  13. I'm happy
  14. Suddenly Fields looks like the GOAT
  15. starter game 1 or bust
  16. horsefeathers the Brewers WS are fine, Don't mind them
  17. the writer for that article calls it "Soldier Fields". ughh... I wonder how he pronounces "IllinoiS"
  18. Did we? I feel like most still recognized that TB was a trash pass D that year. Like it was promising because shredding trash Ds is what good QBs do, but it was still obvious Mitch played way down to good competition too. I thought that game showed his promise, but he we expected more games with 3-4 TD's then we got from him after it.
  19. Trea Turner is some kind of freak
  20. that would be the most backwards way to approach this: ie behavioral change ad nasuem in lieu of a shot. why change your life and everyday activities instead of just getting two pin pricks? In a way, that imagined approach makes Rizzo out to be at least as stupid as being anti-VAX The bold is a complete fallacy. when the vaccines were coming online, I dont think it was unusual to look at them as the tool that would help to bring normalcy back to the world. In fact, they were advertised as being that
