  1. Why more than Thigpen and not Francisco? thigpen has the record for saves duh I see.
  2. I can see the Onion article now. LaRussa charged with drug trafficking Caught smuggling large amount of pixie dust across statelines
  3. .300+ AVG .375+ OBP 25-30 HR's 100+ RBI With a lineup of A-Ram, Lee, Sori and Soto around him I figured he would get more pitches that he could hit out of the park. Then again I remember reading a story in 2005 where Lee said after his first offseason he realized he could pull the ball to a certain spot in Wrigley and hit home runs much easier. That was what lead to his power surge according to him. Maybe Bradley will figure something out during the offseason. Then again with what he is saying he very well not be coming back.
  4. Why more than Thigpen and not Francisco?
  5. He's a great manager so it would be great but the best part would probably be the call I get to make to my dad.
  6. HAHAHA! That is hilarious and I might employee that in my auction draft coming up.
  7. So what he starts hitting and then he opens his mouth?
  8. If you only keep one guy each year I would take Westbrook in a PPR and then what ever WR you like most. If you might up the keepers then I would take Jacobs and the WR.
  9. I agree. Its a luck play. Still an accomplishment I would be proud of though.
  10. Did you say the same thing about Ohio St. being ranked so high last year? Or Penn State making it all the way to #2, only having played Ohio St? They shouldn't be treated like those other teams because they are playing BCS schools in all but 1 game. It just so happens all those schools lost a lot of talent last year and should be down this year. Oh, and I am not a Notre Dame fan. Being in South Bend most of my life, I learned to hate them. It's not as bad now that I'm not there, but the only thing worse than an ND fan is the blind hatred people have for them. Strength of schedule is strength of schedule. It doesn't matter what conferences the crappy teams you play come from they are still crappy teams. And yes if a team hasn't beaten anybody great but rise up to a real high ranking I won't think its right regardless of what conference they come from.
  11. That easy schedule shouldn't help them in the rankings it should hurt them. With that schedule they should have to go 11-1 or 12-0 to get a BCS bowl. They should be treated as a Utah, Boise, TCU essentially but they won't be. Because they are Notre Dame if they finish 10-2 they will make a BCS bowl and if they go 9-3 they will get a post New Year's bowl. That doesn't mean they deserve it though thus why I have a problem with the rankings. They aren't a top 25 team this year based on what has happened in the past but they will probably finished ranked because they have an easy schedule and the voters won't hold it against them let they do the non-BCS schools.
  12. You can't find 23 teams with more talent than Notre Dame. Since preseason polls should merely be a judge of talent, I don't get the joke. Uhh yeah there are more than 23 teams with more talent than a 7-6 team that played an easy schedule last year. Sure Notre Dame has great recruiting classes but until those players prove out on the field they deserved to be so highly touted they are still mediocre players. Recruiting is like the MLB draft. You get a whole bunch of players and hope a couple turn out to be good. Sometimes that doesn't happen. Sometimes all that talent isn't coached right which very well be the case in Notre Dame. No matter how you cut it Notre Dame has done nothing in the past couple years to deserve a preseason ranking.
  13. his career average is 50%
  14. That No. 23 next to Notre Dame is an absolute joke but Andy and I have already argued about that on facebook.
  15. http://espn.go.com/chicago/columns/blog?post=4415361&name=levine_chicago Oh God I hope not. Wrigley does not need a jumbotron. Call me old fashioned. Agreed. Wrigley is what it is because of the history. A massive screen makes it hard to feel the nostalgic of a place.
  16. I blame the NFL for approving it as much as Jerry Jones. How neither one thought that punters would hit anytime they do a sky punt for hang time purposes is beyond me. Then again I would bet Jones did think about it but decided having the best screen in the world was more important and punters would just have to deal with it.
  17. I wouldn't.
  18. So does Mark Reynolds. Anyone happen to know what the record for most strikeouts by the league leader in homeruns in a season is?
  19. Last I heard the team wasn't going to bring him back and the fans and players were doing all they could to change that. I never heard what happened. It's been a couple months.
  20. or be willing to trade for overpaid veterans during the season
  21. gee and I was so interested in helping you will you have round 2 up in time for the 2011 season will you be perma banned by 2011?
  22. gee and I was so interested in helping you
  23. lol they almost have their first round mock up, guys its actually been up for a long time but whatever
  24. He is just doing it to get attention for his soon to be announced retirement from baseball so he can become a muscian full time and tour with Joaquin Phoenix.
  25. Its time that crap like throwing stuff at the players is no longer tolerated at all. This however is no as bad as what happened in the U.S. vs. Mexico game the other day. Landon Donovan had cups of piss and vomit thrown at him when he was taking corner kicks.
