  1. Heh, that's exactly what I said to my friend. What about the Devin Harris shot from earlier this year?
  2. And I have still seen only 2 cubs victories this season (out of 10 or so Ive seen).
  3. Well its definitely a rally. Just a question of whether it is fake or not.
  4. I'm going with a solo shot and a base hit but nothing else.
  5. If you want another reason to hate Greene ... he's a Baha'i' which is the religion I grew up in and thus doesn't celebrate Christmas.
  6. So when does it stop being called the "new" Busch Stadium?
  7. Well its still on during the pregame so I guess we aren't blacked out for whatever reason. Gives we something to watch while I go workout.
  8. It always happens to me when they send it to the announcers to start the quick pregame.
  9. Yeah I'm going to have MLB.tv so I should be able to watch every game as long as I'm not work. I'm also going to try and find a bar that is either big into MLB or is Cubs fan hangout. You can probably Google things like that. Its a lot more fun to go into a bunch of bars and explore.

  11. The thought that came to my mind when my roommate brought this up last night is that he's depressed and not enjoying the game anymore because he, for the first time ever, isn't with the Cubs. He is probably struggling to adjust.
  12. New Orleans is not some magical location that isn't have blackout rules: MLB has them marked as a Houston/Texas market. BOYCOTT FAILED. True. I'm not sure why he's upset since he hasn't been watching games all year anyways. Yeah the boycott failed. I have watched some games although not nearly as many as normal. And MJ, yes I realize N.O. still has blackout rules but they don't apply to the Cubs so I don't care. The only times I will care is when they play the Astros and I might be blacked out.
  13. I guess Fox isn't doing well enough to be included.
  14. Awesome another Cards game blacked out on ESPN but on CSN which isn't a standard cable channel for much of Indiana. Can't wait to move to New Orleans and no longer be subject to the black out rules.
  15. Thread title was bad enough but that last sentence tops it ten fold.
  16. I think Andy needs to be banned from starting game threads. We always lose when he does.
  17. I still find it amazing that he actually got his fastball up to 86 MPH for that movie. That's pretty bad for a pitching prospect, but pretty good for an actor. Is this some sort of joke that I'm missing? Because I don't see how it is at all possible that Robbins threw a ball over 60, let alone 86mph. There are plenty of real life pitchers who I wouldn't think could throw over 60 but yet throw in the 90's. and who would that be? There are plenty of incredibly over weight, no athletic ability other than a strong arm pitchers. I remember as a kid being amazed Rod Beck was somehow a big league pitcher. Alfonseca, David Wells and David Weathers all immediately jump into my mind as well.
  18. BCS Schools: 68/73, all of them missed were in the Big East, named 11 which is how big a conference should be anyways :) BCS Nicknames: 69/73, missed three Big East and one SEC
  19. 54 on that one. Got all of them but Honus Wagner on baseball, did decent on basketball/football but botched boxing and golf for the most part Got the same score. I missed 4 or 5 on baseball, two or three on basketball, none on football, half on golf, half on hockey and 2/3's of boxing.
  20. I don't even know what to say anymore. Well how about you explain why a non-poll is in polls and why this was started when I remember a best burgers thread being around for over a month with people debating who had the best one. I really don't understand. The first post doesn't make sense to me. I didn't keep up with the original thread so maybe it has to do with that one but if it does then why not post this there.

  22. Better question is why is this in Polls and why did you start a new thread about something already started.
  23. Probably have but they are either trying to lowball or Hendry doesn't want to give away someone who can hit like that. Probably the first one.
  24. Hahhahaa they misquote the movie quote. They say "they will come." Its "he will come."
  25. He does it for the love of the game.
