  1. Haha. Yeah that's pretty dumb. Speaking of coaches I was watching the ND game today with my dad and we were talking about Brey. My dad made a comment about how ND learned how to play with Luke out and I came to the realization that the turnaround of ND only makes Brey look worse. ND winning without Luke shows they had the talent all year to be very good but Brey just didn't get the right game plan or motivate them correctly. I'm not saying Brey is an awful coach or that he is solely to blame (the players share some blame too) but the turnaround shows they could have been much better this year and last.
  2. Sosa is putting up the first memorable, ridiculous performance of March Madness if Louisville comes back and wins this.
  3. You mean like he did, ummm, today, when he began his comments with "this is the last time I or Lou will speak about this. We are moving on." Aside from that, do you honestly believe that if Hendry wouldn't have responded, this wouldn't have been a story? Bradley did TWO national interviews over the course of five days trashing his former team. Of course the media's going to run with it. No I don't think that is what he means.
  4. You should get an award for saying something so profound. No one disagrees with what you said.
  5. I love how he says I only got hate mail in three cities. So what you are saying is you have been shipped off by nearly a 1/3 of the teams in the league and you only managed to piss of those teams fanbases so much to get hate mail less than half the time. Way to go dude. Then there is the comment about going to dinner around the All-Star break and having to hear a guy talk about how much you and Sori are sucking. Gee maybe the guy was saying that because you and Sori were in fact sucking.
  6. It's the NCAA's goal to ruin the best thing in sports. Who the hell is Jennifer Hudson? what the hell is "One Shining Moment"? Are you joking?
  7. What counts as watched? I've tuned in for a 10 minutes or so a couple times but never watched them all the way through.
  8. Surprise? No way did Cal bend the rules. I refuse to believe that. Your right. There is a difference between bending and breaking. Cal did the latter.
  9. I got to say the Big Ten First Team is a joke. I hate when they ignore trying to field an at least somewhat realistic lineup. Hummel is the C I guess and Turner the PF. With the way Moore has played lately (last four games) I would have put him on second team and put Johnson on first team.
  10. According to Sportscenter it is "Defense" written in six languages including Hebrew.
  11. With the extreme depth at SP this year I would only keep Hanson at that position. After that I would keep hitters. Pujols is obvious, Upton is a definite, Sandoval is too valuable at a premium position of 3B (plus can fill in at 1B) and finally Victor because he is at a premium position on a team that will give him a ton of RBI opportunities.
  12. Gotta say that if the draft really went this way I would be very happy. The 49ers would shore up the secondary and get a young corner that we need and then get the RT we badly need. With a good RT and Clements healthy I think we would have made playoffs and now we would have Haden added to that.
  13. Agreed. I didn't say they get no talent. I just said they don't get the talent some of the other top teams can get and therefore aren't as attractive of a job.
  14. Pending Jame's confirmation the 49ers should be taking Joe Haden to help shore up our secondary.
  15. Give me a sec to look at who Jame and I take for the 49ers. We each made a top 17 list and then averaged them together to get our picks. I need to look and see who the best available is.
  16. Yes! Hopefully they'll be playing next Sunday. I think there is a chance if Moore decides to make an appearance. He's been absolutely invisible. I am glad that we saw less of Bade today. He spends more time fixing his shorts than he does watching the play develop. Yeah Moore is the key. If he is on we are capable of beating the top teams still. If he is off we will struggle with teams like Penn State. That's the difference with Hummel out. Before we had three stars. One could have an off night and we would still be capable of beating almost all teams. Now both Johnson and Moore need to be on for Purdue to be able to hang with top 15-20 teams.
  17. Oh gee what a travesty I put an a instead of e. You still alive or should I call the paramedics?
  18. Season suspension, minimum. Same as the Oregon football player should have gotten. I'd probably include the postseason too, considering how late in the season that happened. I'm thinking "season" as in not back until the same point next season. I don't get that. What pro athlete would get a season long suspension for throwing a punch? In the NBA you would probably get somewhere in the 5-10 range, MLB would be about the same, the NFL would be a 1 game max (you'd probably just get kicked out of the game you were in ala Tommie Harris), and punching is institutionalized in hockey. Woman aren't supposed to punch. They are supposed to smack.
  19. I would too and would be much more active has a long-term keeper league that switched over to ESPN this year.
  20. Wonderlic?
  21. But I'm sure Jeff Moe actually did something to somebody before as well. Pierce did somebody with something which is much worse.
  22. So McDAA's are all that matter in recruiting. News to me. EDIT: In looking it up Butch was the McDAA for Wisconsin. He grew up 2 hours away from Madison and it is, if I am not mistaken, very rare that the state of Wisconsin has a McDAA or at least they are towards the bottom in the number that they have had.
  23. This laughable. Wisconsin has a lot of talent each year. To pretend otherwise is either foolish or racist. Uhhh no. They don't get many guys to the NBA and never have top classes. Like I said they get guys who fit their scheme. They don't try to get the top recruits. They scout to find guys who can play defense, have good shooting range and have a good work ethic. Do you really think they get great talent? That is laughable. They develop guys and get them to play well in their scheme. That is all Bo Ryan and his staff. Like I said taking that job means you aren't going to get great recruits are going to have win with less talent that your competition. Wisconsin I believe is also a bad state for basketball recruits. In the past five years they have put Alando Tucker and Devin Harris in the NBA. Illinois has put Luther Head and Deron Williams Indiana put in Eric Gordon Minnesota hasn't put anyone in Michigan hasn't put anyone in Purdue has put in Carl Landry Michigan State has put in Shannon Brown, Maurice Ager, and Paul Davis Northwestern hasn't put anyone in Ohio State has put in Mike Conley, Greg Oden, and Daquen Cook Iowa hasn't put anyone in Penn State hasn't put anyone in That's just off the top of my head, but looks like they have decent talent compared to even the big boys in the Big Ten. In fact they with Illinois have put in the only All Star level talent. So again, yes the Badgers have had good talent. No they really don't. I never thought anyone would debate this. They never get top classes because recruits don't want to go there. They get guys who fit Ryan's scheme and thus play well for them but don't have the talent of the Gordon's, Moore's, Oden's, Lucas', Harris', McCamey's ... etc. Your list is also pretty incomplete. Marcus Landry I believe made it this year, Indiana has White who made it (and sort of Harden), Minnesota has Humphries, Michigan State had Alan Anderson a couple years ago, Michigan had Courtney Sims, Ohio State's Hunter I believe got sometime last year with an east coast team and there's Koufos and finally there is Illinois (how did you forget them) who had Augustine and Dee Brown. These are also off the top of my head and I'm sure I missed a few although this tends to be something I remember well.
