  1. Why don't quote the National Enquirer as your source next time. They are much more believable the Screamin' A. This is a guy who had been pimping James to NY for over 2 years, then now he is hitching his bets on Miami. I still say the biggest threat to Lebron James is from Cleveland, and nobody else.
  2. Uh-oh, it's the dreaded Pirates. Can are the Cubs going to crap their pants this time?
  3. I'm still trying to grasp the idea that ONE player can have such an affect on not only the immediate futures of three franchises (one will move to championship contender status, the other two will be average to below average) but the whole landscape of the NBA could potential shift based on said players decision. Talk about pressure.
  4. I think JJ is in the Bulls back pocket, to be honest. I think this is the last and mostly desperate attempt by the Knicks to try to keep themselves in the hunt for James.
  5. I'm hearing rumors that JR sent $6 mill with Hinrich to Washington. I read this on a couple of Bulls fan sites, so I don't know if it is true or not, but if it is, then you know JR has information that leads him to believe that James will sign with the Bulls. JR is not one to give money away so this would be an interesting development, if true.
  6. I've been following this so closely for a few weeks now that I want to follow them no matter what. But I say that every offseason and then I realize in the fall that I have to actually watch basketball games to be a Bulls fan. Hopefully this fall Bulls basketball will be fun to watch.
  7. What I find interesting is that the executive used for this article is an executive, supposedy, of one of the six teams going to meet Lebron. But this article does give credence to the Chad Ford article posted shortly after James' exit, you know this one http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/15881/lebron-to-the-bulls-3-gms-think-so Either way, this is going to be a very hectic and perhaps an exciting couple of weeks for the city for Chicago. That article also thought Calipari was going to be the new Bulls coach. Well, exclude the JohnCal part, then Banedon. :D
  8. I wouldn't take a dump in that cup. So the White Sox can have that cup without ever having to play for it, mainly because it means more to the Sox than it does the Cubs.

  10. So we know have a Fukudome and a Schlitter on the roster. An angry Brenly and Schitter has a lot of possibilities.
  11. The rumor has it, the Hawks acquire Jimmy Hayes for that 2nd rd pick. Jimmy is the Hawks 1st rd pick Kevin Hayes' brother. I don't know if that's been confirmed, but that's the rumor.
  12. Don't forget it is also a blow to Miami, cause the Heat can't show off South Beach to Lebron, if James isn't in the city. As I mention when it broke earlier in the day, I think this effectively eliminates the Knicks from the derby. They don't have anything the Bulls and to a lesser degree Miami can't beat. I'm pretty sure LeBron has visited NY before and knows about the clubs and has seen the view of the city. I don't think he's really missing anything that would sway his decision. Which means these teams that have to sell James on basketball related issues. No more of "seeing the city" and being guided by celebrities" cities like NY and Miami has to present legitimate gameplans. Miami can, NY can't. NY's pitch was NY and the opportunity to play with another MAX FA, something Chicago and Miami can both offer. I personally think he is listening to the Nets, because of his friendship with Jay-Z. He's humoring both the Knicks and Clippers. Let's not forget Cleveland. I think he will legitimately give the Cavs once last shot at either signing him or trading for a MAX FA (a longshort but a shot nonetheless). Does he want to play in Miami where the Heat are Wade's team, or does he want his own team? I think this is why most signs are pointing to Chicago, and it is driving the Knicks fans kurrrrrrrrrazy.

  14. If I didn't know better I think Lebron and his team without saying it, just eliminated the Knicks. And if the Knicks can't sell the idea of New York on Lebron then they truly are no better then the Warriors or Pacers or even Minnesta. BTB, on news that "Lebron won't go on recruiting tour" news, the Knicks had to cancel there spectular "celebrity" laden cook out and are trying to come up with Plan B.
  15. Well, probably not the case at all, but ok. It would sure seem that way, no? In what way do the White Sox have a better lineup or rotation than us on paper? They have a better rotation on paper. I'll give you that.
  16. I still think we're short dollars wise in that scenario. Any first round pick we trade isn't going to help our cap number and Gibson/Johnson don't make enough. I don't think even Gibson AND Johnson make enough. Pretty sure I saw that if James Johnson is shipped out, we'll have enough for two max contracts. First round picks make around $3 million, I believe. Were are you getting $3 million? One site I've been to had JJ making roughly 1.5 mill last yr, and around 1.7 mill next yr. The only time I see Johnson and for that matter Gibson making $3 mill is in their final year of their contracts. The only players from Johnson/Gibson class making $3 mill plus are the top 4 picks. Right now Johnson is on the books for 2010-11 for $1.7 mill.
  17. At the core of it all, Chicago still has two very mediocre baseball teams, the difference...........one team cares.
  18. At this point I really don't care what the Cubs get for Z. I am waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond tired of his act.
  19. To have the UC rockin' like Patrick Kane's bed would be a financial boom for Chicago. I hope it happens. To think about the possibility that come the start of the 2010-11 NHL/NBA seasons Chicago could have both the reigning Stanley Cup Champions and a Bulls roster that incudes but not limited to James and Bosh........................................... oh were was I? Oh yeah, would be unbelievable. Excuse me, while I change my pants.
  20. You forgot the green font, cause a couple of sources have already stated that Sacremento has no interests in Hinrich.
  21. I remember something like that. It'd be such a kick in the balls after all these years and we still couldn't trade Kirk. The thing is is that it's a horrible deal for the Wizards and maybe they'll come to their senses and back out. I don't think Washington will back out. Everything I read suggest that Grunfield has long-coveted Hinrich and thus I really don't think Grunfield will back out of this deal.
  22. Orlando and Washington have been talking about a Arenas for Carter trade, so maybe the Hinrich deal is a precursor to that deal
  23. First: WE don't know what the deal, but GarPax do (I know duh right), and I pretty sure the deal is as firm as it can be right now. If the Bulls did not want this deal would not have made this deal. Second: The Bulls have been shopping Hinrich around the league for nearly 2 year, so I you can guess that this deal is prolly the best deal they could get, and they took it. I really don't see a better deal coming around for Hinrich.
  24. I thought it couldn't be official until July 8th. That would mean to me that the Bulls can pull out of it if they find something better (like the Deng deal). Considering this deal is essentially a "handshake" deal, I don't see GarPax backing out of it.
