Rich Hill is currently perfect through 8 innings, but it's a 0-0 game so unless the Dodgers score in the Top of the 9th, he'll have to stay perfect through the following innings, something he may be able to do considering he's only sitting at 87 pitches. -

The stitches are "pointing" in the opposite direction, but other than that I don't really see anything. Maybe the horseshoe of the stitch on the new one is wider? I don't know, nor do I care.

He clearly has no idea how to analyze a baseball game and is pulling things out of his ass all the time to sound smart, and he gives facial expressions to match. It's like when you can tell when Ralph Wiggum's heart rips in half, except you can tell when David Dejesus has no idea what he's talking about because he'd get a deer in headlights look. He is legitimately bad at his job.

Not sure how folks feel about Teheran, but he could probably be had for less than what Beane wants for Gray I'd imagine, given his rough season and also inconsistent history over the last couple of years. But his age and contract fits in well with what Theo is after. And he doesn't have the injury history that Gray has.

So Charlie Blackmon hit his 2nd inside the park home run of the season today. On the highlight clip on mlb.com that showed both of them, it didn't provide context for the one today and it looked like Granderson just dogged it out there. Slow trot to the ball, casual throw in, etc. After the team in the booth looked at it... well, just watch. I genuinely thought that Pujols was going to clobber the HR record before the end of that contract. At the very least I would've expected 10+ WAR over the first three years. He just dropped off with the swiftness.

I mean with Russell's performance this year and his off-field troubles and allegations would we even be able to get max value for him? We'd likely be selling low. That said, I've often wondered if he was ever on the hot seat for a trade since those allegations.
