  1. Still having some issues on chrome for mobile, but it's not as pronounced
  2. This right here. We have the prospects and a team in need of top of the line players - go get the big guns.
  3. I feel like Bregman for sure, and probably Adames, would be a significant upgrade over Hoerner. Both of them offer a lot more with the bat (Adames a career 109 ops+ with 25-30 HR power, Bregman a 132 career ops+ with similar power, and Hoerner a career 100 ops+ and barely more career HRs than those 2 average), and would likely be good if not great at 2B on defense
  4. also, don't have Kennan Allen run deep routes. quick outs and ins and slants and curls - those are his money routes.
  5. Having some weird things happen as I navigate to different pages in threads. Sometimes it does it, sometimes it won't. First picture is normal browsing, next 3 are what happens after I go to the next page sometimes. Maybe a weird banner or something throwing off the page?
  6. I think I'd only include Shaw if either Gilbert or Kirby is coming back. Feels like Miller and Woo aren't on that level, and the Cubs have enough other good prospects (like Triantos) that they could make those deals happen
  7. and with a brand new extension!
  8. Poles and Flus both need to go, just start fresh. Poles hasn't done anything to meaningfully improve the OL in his entire tenure
  9. and the Saints fired Dennis Allen
  10. saw a projection on The Athletic (Tim Britton, I think) that Carson Kelly would get 2/14... how would we feel about that to split the catching duties with Amaya?
  11. yep, something about how early the season started this year means everyone gets a 2nd bye week. I think it should help them plenty, because Altmyer seems banged up in addition to most of the secondary, and now they need to get another LB up to speed because Rosiek is out for the year
  12. I know there are a lot of guys missing on D, but they just look awful.
  13. Illinois badly needs their bye week. Their secondary is struggling hard thanks to some injuries (and not being very good to begin with).
  14. Go ahead and delete this mods
  15. Ha, beat me by a minute.
  16. Him being that size and playing center seems like a broken down body waiting to happen
  17. I also think the presence of a bat like Soto changes things in a way that WAR doesn't measure. It changes the way pitchers approach the guys around him, maybe being more aggressive in the zone in front of him for example. But alas, he's not going to be a Cub
  18. Yeah, it was clear from Oregon's first drive that the talent disparity was just huge. And right now, that doesn't bother me too much as an Illini fan. They're far from the doormat of the Lovie years. Right now, the goal for me is Iowa results with a watchable offense. It looks like 8 wins is pretty realistic this year. It would only be the 16th season with 8+ wins in program history, and only the 7th of my lifetime. I'm happy with that, with hope that it will continue to improve. (And with a roster that should theoretically bring back all but like 10 dudes, that improvement could take off next year).
  19. I know AFL pitching is generally not very good, but it's so fun watching him continue to hit so well
  20. Fitting in a new OL mid-season seems very difficult. A run stuffing DT might be the best addition without giving up too much in terms of draft picks
