  1. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/43127317/mlb-2024-2025-chicago-cubs-offseason-kyle-tucker-cody-bellinger-spending-plan I'm not sure I remember any discussion of PE buying into the Cubs... and this is not optimistic on Tucker re-signing
  2. Robert Schmitz said on Twitter that he thinks Braxton wouldn't be any good at G because he has a tendency to get overpowered. So there's really only 1.5 spots on the line that are filled if you're set on replacing him and both guards (which i agree with). A pass rushing Edge is by far the biggest defensive need. If Billings can come.back and play at a similar level then the front should be at least league average if adding someone who can get pressure on the QB, and that makes the back end better by default. I feel like the best path at this point is LT in the 1st, followed an iOL and an Edge in the 2nd (all after signing 1-2 iOL and an Edge in FA). Would like a starting CB in FA too. Stephenson can't go into next season as an unquestioned starter.
  3. Szymborski did say DH should say 3.5 instead of 4.5, but still... optimistic
  4. preliminary look at the Cubs...
  5. How so? Because I totally get them opting not to play the bowl game... they lost their HC and a ton of dudes to the portal... I put it much more on the school choosing to part ways with Huff
  6. https://www.bleachernation.com/cubs/2024/12/17/cubs-payroll-cody-bellinger/ just read this, @thawv
  7. Gotcha. I agree with that.
  8. I dont know too many guys who would have "good body language" when they're getting pummeled like this
  9. Think he thought Allen was going to continue his route there
  10. Walker is playing well
  11. And they finally get a sack to keep points off the board... but Sweat lined up offside
  12. Tremaine Edmunds constantly seeing the ball fly right over/past him
  13. Odunze was wide open
  14. Gonna have 1H garbage time
  15. Other team hits a field goal easily that the Bears can't even attempt. Drink.
  16. Bears fail to pick up a 1st down on the first drive. Drink.
  17. Braxton Jones out tomorrow with a concussion. Brian Flores is salivating
  18. 1. I don't use any particular site... I don't get into the weeds on that stuff, I leave that to the people who dig in on that kind of stuff and post it here, like TT - someone who has been one of the better posters here for many years. 2. The reason for my response is that you have brought this discussion up 3 different times now. You've been told what other people use. I don't get why you keep poking at this topic
  19. If for some reason they do want Castillo and Seattle won't budge off Hoerner, there needs to be a really good prospect or two coming back to the Cubs
  20. Counterpoint: Steve Cohen is rich as horsefeathers and 300M over 3 years is nothing to him and that's pretty cool for Mets fans and the Soto family's next 5 generations.
  21. I'm not great with GIFs, so just imagine that says "Michael Busch playing somewhere that isn't 1B" instead of fetch.
  22. I think a lot of people are underestimating how good Tucker is
