    I'm fine with not second-guessing any of the picks, trades, etc. before 2016. We got a World Series. Sure, the world (and the Cubs franchise - relatively speaking from what we hoped for) has gone in the toilet since, but at least we'll always have the 2016 team.

    I feel like Bregman for sure, and probably Adames, would be a significant upgrade over Hoerner. Both of them offer a lot more with the bat (Adames a career 109 ops+ with 25-30 HR power, Bregman a 132 career ops+ with similar power, and Hoerner a career 100 ops+ and barely more career HRs than those 2 average), and would likely be good if not great at 2B on defense

    I think I'd only include Shaw if either Gilbert or Kirby is coming back. Feels like Miller and Woo aren't on that level, and the Cubs have enough other good prospects (like Triantos) that they could make those deals happen

    yep, something about how early the season started this year means everyone gets a 2nd bye week. I think it should help them plenty, because Altmyer seems banged up in addition to most of the secondary, and now they need to get another LB up to speed because Rosiek is out for the year
