I've read in several places that there is no way Seattle trades Ichiro. Their Asian-American popularity with him is a huge part of their revenue stream. They would be comitting financial suicide if they moved him.
Apparently so. There's a rather detailed discussion of sexuality in Rants that is decidedly adult in nature, yet that goes on unabated. I don't understand why some plainly adult discussions are allowed to flourish while the whole HCP was obliterated, right down to the fracking cartoon edition. I don't think it was so much the pictures as the vulgar commentary. Even I thought it was a little graphic and I'm pretty permissive about that stuff. That said, the discussion in the sexuality thread is just as graphic, but its perceived philosophical qualities makes it more allowable. Are we talking about the homosexuality thread? If so, most of us are discussing it philosophically. I think there are only 1 or 2 posts that desribe anything of a physically sexual nature.
Cold = bad. Cold=dark (it's already pitch black by 5pm here with over a month till the official shortest day of the year.) Cold=bad driving conditions Cold=high heating bills Cold=Shoveling snow (give me lawn mowing any day)
How do you spell it then? Corey patterson? Cory Paterson? Corey Paterson? Kory Patursun? The correct spelling is Jerome Walton. I thought it was Damon Buford
Here's what is scary about Eyre: ERAs in 2000, 2002, 2004: 6.63, 4.46, 4.10 ERAs in 2001, 2003, 2005: 3.45, 3.32, 2.63 Last I looked, 2006 is considered an even numbered year. The lefty version of Farnsworth?
No fun. I heard Penn St. cheats and uses 13 players when they play but the refs let them off cause they're related to Paterno. I wish UCLA's defense would cheat. Then, maybe they could stop the run. Same with Mizzou or MSU. :( What's sad is that the UCLA DL has the potential to be much better if everyone was healthy, but we've had some key guys out all season. Now, we have 3 under-sized true freshman in our rotation (and we lost our best true freshman in the Oklahoma game). Injuries happen, but I can't help but wonder how well the defense would play if they had the regulars. Just goes to show that truly great teams not only have great starters, but great depth too
and guys who can steal 50+ bases with a potential .370+ obp. but more importantly, guys who can catch the ball. Just like dem White Sox. See, the Sox showed Hendry that if you score less runs but appear to be "scrappy", you'll win the whole shebang.
Skiles loves having certain guys come off the bench. Deng, Gordon, and last year Chandler. Reminds me of when Phil Jackson would always start Ron Harper, but Steve Kerr would always end up with more minutes
So a 1 loss WVU is in. However if they lose to South Florida they are out, even though they have a better all around record then SF, in the same conference? If they lose to South Florida and South Florida wins their other two games, yes, because conference record trumps overall record (unless you're at-large or independent)
Awesome huh? If FSU wins the ACC some team is going to get really screwed out of a spot they deserve. Didn't FSU go to a BCS game a few years ago with a 7-4 record? Question: Does every team have the same requirements as ND? The reason I ask is because if scUM beats O$U, they could very well be in the BCS top twelve with 8 wins, not the 9 required for ND. I'm guessing 9 wins is not a requirement for conference teams, but I may be wrong. If Penn State loses and Michigan beats O$U, Michigan would be in at 8-3. FSU would be in at either 9-3 (if they beat Florida and Miami/Va Tech) or 8-4 (if they lose to Florida but win the ACC title). South Florida could also be in with 3 losses if they win out. But the scenerio I wondered about was what if Penn State wins, and scUM wins out. Penn State is in, but Is scUM eligible for a BCS game? No, probably not, as they wouldn't be anywhere near the top 12 in the BCS rankings.
Maybe it's 9 wins and top 12 in BCS for at large bids, and since ND has to be at-large, that's why it's a higher win total for them every year. Now if Miami, LSU and/or Texas somehow lose their conference title games, the BCS is going to have a huge mess on it's hands
