Non of these "non-signings" are anything I'm getting worked up over or anything, but sure seems like ppl are like "oh yeah, I'll come be all nice and visit the Bears, but no way I'm signing with them"... :? a la the post-Jordan Bulls

Barring a collapse in the final 14 games, neither of those guys are likely to be there when the Bulls are using their second first round pick. Carney strikes me as more of a 3, too -- and I think the Bulls are set at SF. Don't the Bulls have 2 firsts? yes, and if the season ended today, the Knicks pick would be no worse than 4th overall (with the 2nd pick at #11). http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2006/index# yeah, but isn't it possible for the Bulls to win one of the top 3 picks in the lottery and still get the #4 from the Knicks? Or for that matter get the top 2. Slim chance, but yes, it's possible

I'd really prefer Roy or Carney over Brewer. A front court guy is definitely needed moreso than a guard, but the Bulls aren't that deep in the backcourt. Plus, a big guard would give them the flexibility to play a 3-guard lineup (which they can't really do now because of matchup problems), playing Roy/Brewer/Carney at the 3, with any combo of Deng/Aldridge/Chandler at the 4-5. if ESPN's projections are correct, Roy would in no way be available with the Bull's second pick. They'd have to trade up

Brandon Roy's stock must be on the rise. The Bulls were selecting Aldridge and Roy most of the time on that thing last night. way up. 5th or 6th overall. It has the Bulls taking Aldridge regardless if they get the 1, 2, 3 or 4th pick. Gay and Morrison are the other Top 3 guys.

Most scenarios on ESPN's Lottery thingy have the Bulls taking Aldridge and Brewer with their two lottery picks. I think we need big men WAY more than adding more players to a crowded backcourt. Chandler is proving himself to be defensively apt but offensively unreliable, we have no true center....only Deng has distinguished himself as a go-to forward. Get Aldridge in there and suddenly Chandler's opportunities to score increase (like when Curry was here) as Aldridge has both an inside and outside game.

unless his contract states what acceptable/unacceptable positions aer for him to play, Soriano has no leverage whatsoever. The Nats should take their cue from how the Eagles handled T.O. (ie WE are the ones in charge here, not you)

I have 6 of 8 Elite 8 teams and all Final Fours. I'm tied at #22 on the Yahoo NSBB board. Next weekend I need Nova, Florida, Duke, Texas, UCLA, and UCONN to go 6-0 (Bucknell and UNC were my other 2).

If we look since '95: 95-Kerry Wood - With team. Injury problem. Headache. 96-Todd Noel - Traded to Florida for Felix Heredia 97-Jon Garland - Traded to White Sox for Matt Karchner. 98-Corey Patterson - Traded to Baltimore for I Don't Remember Who. 99-Ben Christiansen - Injured a lot, plus a total tool. 00-Luis Montanez - Flamed out. Injuries? 01-Mark Prior - Increasingly injury prone in the preseason. Some bad luck injuries. 02-Bobby Brownlie - Injury problems, but predictable after coming off surgery pre-draft. 03-Ryan Harvey - Don't know 04-No Pick 05-Mark Pawalek - Too early to say. -
