  1. isn't this argument about cedeno vs. theriot really just arguing whether you prefer your poop the smell of dog poop or cow poop?
  2. the maurice clarett team was completely uninspiring too, they won every game by about 3 points and were given major scares by mediocre teams like Purdue, Illinois and Cincinnati. Then they made the national championship game, did next to nothing on offense all game, and were saved by a bogus pass interference call. but yeah this team is even less inspiring than that one. I don't even necessarily mean on a performance level, but just in terms of excitement. Boeckman and thirteen running backs? Just on a national level, they're boring as hell. they have two (dubiously) "quality" wins (Washington, Purdue) and then wins over several piles of crap. Their second half schedule is brutal (Wisconsin, PSU, Michigan, Michigan State and someone else). They'll lose
  3. i don't remember my kids' names anymore
  4. i'm guessing PSU may be ranked this week, but i guess we'll see
  5. The only reason that I wouldn't do that is that if you put OSU behind Oklahoma and LSU now, they wouldn't move ahead of them if everyone won out. Considering they have Michigan State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan left, if OSU wins out they deserve to be in the national title game over a 1 loss LSU or a 1 loss Oklahoma. then jump them ahead if/when they beat a good team Put USF at number 1. They've beaten Auburn on the road and West Virginia. They probably deserve it more so than any of those three unbeatens. yeah, maybe, but again, do you think they could beat Oklahoma or LSU? It's a tough year to be a pollster. I'm still hoping KU, USF, OSU, etc. lose a game so it's a gigantic cluster-hump by year's end. too bad it won't result in a playoffs That is not how the polls have ever worked. It has never been who do you think would beat who. Also if all 3 of those teams lose it wont be a cluster. It will be exactly who everyone thought at the beginning to the year. LSU, USC and Oklahoma if those teams win out. no to USC. bad loss, barely won this past week. they aren't that good

  8. they got some good fishin' in Cincy?
  9. I'm gonna be pissed when OSU is the #1 team. They've played NO ONE. NO ONE!! I would put Oklahoma ahead of OSU. Heck, i'd put LSU there too.
  10. if they want depth, they're gonna want at least 3 prospects, probably 2 of which are major league level
  11. 100%, because LSU is still the better team despite the outcome. Polls are not (and should not) be about who beats who week to week, but about who is the better team. Does anyone think Stanford is better than USC? Once, yes, but 98 times out of 100, USC wins.
  12. Pam > Angela > Jan > Karen >>>>>>>>>>>>> Kelly
  13. too bad neither will go undefeated
  14. that's hard to do because it's Devlin, i'm convinced. they put a lot of eye black on him and a false nose
  15. they must have inserted Pat Devlin but had him wear Morelli's jersey
  16. yeah, that one loss....
  17. I really hope that two of the names on the list are Cal Ripken, Jr. and Tony Gwynn. Not that I dislike those guys, but if those two were on the juice, then yeah, pretty much everyone was
  18. Pretty much. I'll wait and see who's on that list when it comes out but most of the players are one's we'd expect. and what's the point of naming names? i'm willing to bet that many of the names are guys who aren't even playing anymore, so why publicly nail them to a cross for past indiscretions? if anything, the Mitchell Commission should be investigating why Selig and Fehr so willingly turned a blind eye to what was obviously a rampant problem through the 90's. naming names pretty much removes culpability from those who had the power to fix the problem while putting too much blame on the players who, while doing something I disagree with, were basically taking advantage of the situation that was presented to them. i'd really hate to get into situation where we're erasing records and taking back championships and all that BS due to this. Clean up the future, don't dwell on the past
  19. i think this is dumb. baseball isn't going to clean up baseball by informing us of who cheated in the past. they need to install testing programs to catch cheaters in the present and future. MITCHELL: Hey, guess who was on roids? US: Who? MITCHELL: Bret Boone and Luis Gonzalez back in 2001! US: No *** Sherlock
  20. first off, Dusty is going to the Reds (i know it was a joke, but still...) secondly, a talking head on ESPN Radio thought the best fit for the Yankees would be..........Bob Brenely. Discuss
  21. the 4 day ASBreak sucks. Every team should play on: Opening Day Fourth of July Thursday after All Star Game Labor Day
  22. ha ha ha. everyone on this board would do this if that happened: http://www.gifflix.com/data/thumbnails/22/exploding-head.gif
  23. wow, i went from winning the non-premium last year to complete crap this year. oops
  24. the "white" part is simply because most people assume that black and hispanic players are going to be more athletic. call it latent racism (though extremely benign) but the "undersized white guy who manages a few hits through sheer effort of will and grit" is the effing American Dream (cue soundtrack from "Rudy")
