    Penn State tried to beat that, as their original OOC was Coastal Carolina, Syracuse, Temple and someone like LA Tech. They swapped that last game for Oregon St., but it's still a total joke. A year or two ago their OOC had 3 of the bottom 5 teams in 1-A from the previous year

    so when Phelps is all done with competitive swimming, be it this year or after one or two more Olympics, then what? It's gotta be tough to have your life defined by one thing (very early) and then switch gears into "normal" life. I guess he could coach swimming or something.

    still wouldn't have been enough. we lost by over 2.5 points

    neither are check swings or checking with the 1st/3rd base ump on them. I think that if a starting pitcher can't get a win without pitching 5 innings that no pitcher can get a win prior to the 6th inning.

    everyone worth a crap got injured. They are rolling out an outfield of Francisco, Sizemore and Gutierrez these days and Andy Marte is hitting about .150 for what it's worth, Sizemore is pretty decent i wasn't trying to bunch him in with the other two talent-wise, but that outfield is a little like Sosa/Bullet/Timmons right now. Plus they've had very little out of Hafner or Martinez

    a guy with 490 HR's has played for 7 different teams. 8 if he signs on somewhere this year. I'm not surprised.
