The thing is, the Brewers pretty much have an assembly line of 1B/LF types who can mash the heck out of the ball. Fielder, Braun, LaPorta, and Gamel can all rake. I wouldn't be surprised to see Brett Lawrie join this group in three years if he can't stick at C or 3B. If the Brewers end up trading Fielder away, they can replace him with someone younger, cheaper, and slightly less productive without the weight issues. LaPorta is with the Indians now, but I guess your point stands
