You don't really know that's going to happen and it's possible that they got the ball inside the 10 because Wisconsin had players back to protect the punter. Sorry, I didn't mean to imply the return was going that far regardless. The fact that he has a returner capable of doing that at all though is another reason rushing the punt there was dumb. I agree with that aspect. Plus, it's not like Wisconsin was playing defense at all. They should have been able to move the ball into field goal range at least.

I hope so. Pretty much the best case scenario for OSU today. They absolutely demolish OU while both Houston and VT lose. I think they're going to jump Bama. At the very least it will be close. I'm leaning towards thinking they will too. It seems a lot of people don't want a rematch and this gives them reason to vote against it.

Take the 9-2 Edmonton game and the 6-2 Vancouver game out and the goal differential looks a lot better though I'm sure most good teams could say this.

As long as Michigan is eligible I'd have a hard time seeing a bowl picking Virginia Tech over Michigan anyways.

Even if they are defeated in the title game I'd have a hard time saying that whomever it is would deserve to be champion over LSU.

It's character suicide. He brought it on himself with the way he handled the situation. Whatever. I'll drop the Paterno thing. I just think its unfortunate that he's the face of this scandal eventhough he didn't commit any crimes or witness any crimes. He's near the bottom of "people I blame" in this grand scheme of things. But whatever... My original thought remains; Why does no one here seem to care enough about the Bernie Fine situation to mention? Its a pretty big news story in its own right, but not a single comment about it. Just seems odd to me. Lack of desire to talk about child molestation scandals after so long I assume. It's not exactly a fun topic of conversation. Interest in this thread has died down too despite new things being brought to attention.

They were 3-3 on the west coast trip and then lost their last game. They aren't playing the best but it could be worse. I'm not following the tanking logic.

I haven't seen an Iowa game yet this year. Has Basabe developed? He has been no where near what he was last year.

It's kind of sad. I used to love to hate Iowa hoops, but now they're just kind of pathetic. When I was growing up they were usually good, and it was more fun that way. My big three teams have always been Iowa basketball and football and Cubs baseball. I think what has happened to the Iowa basketball program has taken a small part of my soul from me.
