  1. It'd be ok but it's hard to be excited about a redeemable rotation when our offense is likely to be not great. I am intrigued about an idea of building a decent pitching staff with guys who can defend, thus making the pitching appear better. Don't know if that' the route we're considering though. The Dejesus signing is why I even consider it.
  2. I'm so mixed on wanting to trade Marshall. I feel like he would be undervalued by other teams, therefore we wouldn't get the best return but than again, selling high on a reliever tends to be a good choice. It Wood becomes a decent pitcher it's a really good move I would think.
  3. Not looking good.
  4. We need a goal to reward Seabrook for that block.
  5. Just missed again.
  6. There's been so many times this period where it looked like we'd have it tied for sure.
  7. Funny how a couple of goals early in a period can give you some energy.
  8. The Packers just played very poorly against the Chiefs and I think it's possible they could struggle again with Jennings out and a thin offensive line. I don't think the Bears have the ability to score much though I kind of have a feeling this will be a low scoring Packers win. Not as big of a blowout as you guys think it will be.
  9. Can't wait until Christmas day.
  10. Do they leave their feet every check?
  11. Do we usually dump and chase this much? Seems like we are doing that more than normal or maybe it's just the one thing my brain has chosen to focus on this game.
  12. Really? I've seen good puck movement for the most part and seen some good chances once they get into the zone. Granted I've been flipping from the Bulls game so maybe I'm not getting the entire picture They've gotten jammed up in the neutral zone a lot. Failing to get the puck deep. That sort of thing. I feel like we haven't had too many sustained chances. Seems like we dump it in and they get it or we take one shot from the blue line or one of the circles and it's blocked or right at the goaltender. I don't feel like we've played well either.
  13. This game kind of sucks.
  14. I wonder if a team in rebuilding mode is more fun to watch suck than a team who isn't and sucks.
  15. I understand the people in the stadium freaking out but Berman's in a studio. The lights are just off dude.
  16. Berman would compare a fuse blowing to the earthquake in '89.
  17. In a perfect world it's both.
  18. We're on thread 3, what the hell did I miss?
  19. Playing with the playoffs machine, Philadelphia has a moderately realistic shot at winning the division still. I didn't realize that.
  20. I don't believe they ever play on the superstation.
  21. I'm kind of pulling for the Seahawks to make the playoffs which could happen if the Lions lose today. From what I can see they win out and the Lions lose one more (or at least to Green Bay), the Seahawks are in. I didn't look at the tie breakers too closely.
  22. I'm not too upset because that would be stupid. Hopefully what happened today doesn't happen in the playoffs though. Losing kind of sucks. I don't miss it.
  23. Crap. Today was unexpected.
  24. Green Bay is losing in the 4th quarter for the first time in 20 games I believe.
  25. Normally I'm opposed to capital punishment but in the case of people like joe paterno I'm willing to make an exception. What Paterno has done over the entire course of this thing has been pretty awful, I grant you that. However, it seems like a lot of people (not necessarily talking about NSBB) are more mad at Paterno than Sandusky. Yes, Paterno was an awful, horrible piece of crap for not doing anything and allowing it to continue, but Sandusky was the guy actually doing it. ....because Sandusky stands to get what he deserves, while Paterno is more in line to get off without real punishment. That irks people. I know it irks me. Being fired and having his coaching legacy ruined is a real punishment. And I'd you're irked by that you'd better be irked that a multitude of people (investigators, penn state janitors, mike mcqueary, district attorneys, former penn state president, high school wrestling coach) are not also going to prison. Paterno is the major face of all of this, fair or not it's pretty clear why he is the one who gets the majority of ire drawn his way. I'm going to guess that a lot those other people will have, and already have had their lives ruined from this, it just doesn't matter as much to the public as they aren't public figures.
