  1. Yep, that's why I don't want to play them in the playoffs.
  2. Watching the Packers o-line makes me very concerned that the Lions are going to kill Rodgers.
  3. Green Bay's offensive line hasn't been too good the last few games.
  4. Allen's pretty good but I can't stand that guy.
  5. Just got that texted to me I'm going to assume it's not serious or not from a smart person.
  6. I wouldn't be against this.
  7. I haven't been following the lock out too closely but I did just read through some of the threads on RealGM. Is this pretty much official?
  8. I doubt Green Bay ever throws more than 45 passes in a game and even so, wow the idea of having the ball in his hands 45 times is terrifying...to the other team. The last couple of years when Rodgers is forced to throw around 40 times a game the Packers have won (including the Super Bowl). If you put your focus into stopping Green Bay's running game you are dumb and you will lose.
  9. LSU dropping to Arkansas wouldn't by itself mess anything up. The SEC West 3-way tiebreaker - thanks to Stewart Mandel, I know this - is head to head among the top 2 teams of the 3 in the BCS rankings. In short, since Arkansas and Bama would surely leap past LSU if Arkansas beat the Tigers, Bama would go to the SEC title game based on head to head with Arkansas. If Bama then won the SEC title, and Okla St didn't lose a game, they'd play the Cowboys. If not, Bama/Oregon would be a very interesting title game matchup. I think the only way LSU drops behind Arkansas is if they get blown out. If they lose by a TD or less, I bet the voters would keep them ahead of Arkansas. I think the view of Arkansas would be the same as of Texas Tech a couple years ago with the three way tie in the Big 12. LSU has played a much tougher schedule than Arkansas and I think that keeps them in front. Bama also stays in front because they pounded Arkansas. I also agree that there's no way Oklahoma should play for the title with the loss to Texas Tech. I'd love to see an LSU-Oklahoma St. matchup for the title, though. If two teams play one excellent team and one mediocre team, and one team loses to the excellent team and beats the mediocre team, and the other team beats the excellent team and loses to the mediocre team, are you saying that makes the first team better than the second? I don't think it makes them better but it makes them more deserving of being ranked higher if the team that lost to the excellent team has a good resume.
  10. I don't know if this is sarcastic or not, but Green Bay just did this exact thing six years ago, with a much less injury-riddled QB and a much lower draft pick. And I'm fairly sure it worked out ok. NFL franchises have to do what's best for them, they can't afford to honor history. Not even close. Favre was much closer to being done. And the Packers have always had way more going for them than just a QB. Manning is about the same age Favre was when they drafted Rodgers. Getting a good QB (especially one like Luck) is what you need to do. The other thing I'm not really understanding is that I don't understand how it's not comparable to Favre.
  11. Yes, that's why the Saints went to Seattle last year.
  12. I think Oklahoma should be out now (unless a bunch of teams finish with 2 losses but that opens a huge can or worms.) and if Oklahoma State loses at all the rest of the year should be eliminated too. It will be a jumbled mess if LSU drops to Arkansas somehow. Based on that chart I'd have a hard time not justifying an all SEC title game
  13. I can't agree with this. I think it should come down to who has the best resume. If Alabama finishes 11-1 they have a lot of good wins and their worst loss is to the number 1 team. Same goes for Oregon (assuming LSU finishes number one.). I could even see Alabama/Oregon having a case over an undefeated team if their SOS is considerably better than theirs.
  14. The Bears defense/special teams is single handily winning be a fantasy game today.
  15. Rodgers has had some pretty good games in the cold. The only weather that would concern me is wind. That can happen anywhere though likely in San Francisco, I think we'd be fine in those conditions too though. The Giants defense concerns me a bit. If they can play well against the Pats they can play well against the Packers but location wouldn't concern me much either way. Most important thing is that bye because I think Green Bay should be able to beat anyone any where.
  16. Billick and Brennaman are my least favorite announcers aside from the MNF guys.
  17. I don't see a Bears loss on their schedule until they play Green Bay either.
  18. Saints can win a coin toss ever.
  19. Are they running a lot of option? Good defenses are going to destroy them.
  20. I hate living in Indiana and having the stupid winless Colts on every week.
  21. I don't know if I can. Are there really any other major universities that have the kind of isolation that PSU does? What do you mean? PSU isn't close to the only university sitting well away from civilization. Well, that's part of it, but I was more referring to their tendency to not bring in outsiders. From what I've read, most everybody on campus has some sort of ties to the school, from sports personnel to professors. It just sounds like in general there's really a lot of groupthink being fostered because there's not any (or very little) outside influence in any part of the institution. I could easily see schools like Iowa, Wisconsin, a lot SEC schools, West Virginia, any school where football is king, acting in a similar manner.
  22. I think they would and it would annoy the [expletive] out of me then too.
  23. Listening to the press conferences and the attitudes of some people at the game (like giving the players a standing ovation afterwards) you would think that the players, fans and Penn State student body are the victims. Problem is, this isn't about them at all and it's kind of pissing me off.
  24. It was a different kicker.
  25. TCU scored a TD and a 2 pt conversion and it's 36-35 with 1:05 left. If Moore wants any shot at the Heisman he'll have to come through now.
