  1. I don't think the punter is fast enough to out run everyone in 9 seconds. Then they get the ball in your territory with a shot to win it. Why would you snap the ball to the punter? True and I thought of that after I posted it, still seems like a bigger risk than kicking it out of bounce to me. At least from where the Bears were.

  3. The dream team kind of sucks.
  4. I do think there is some complication concerning that. Walking in on something like that would be incredibly traumatic (obviously not to the level that the child is experiencing), it could be compared to walking in on someone's head getting shot off or something that so people would react differently depending on the situation. I can kind of see why he didn't physically intervene. That said, I would hope that at least you process what is going on and what you just saw, then you would tell someone other than your father or your boss (aka the police)
  5. This kind of thinking kind of bothers me because it walks the line between showing too much concern towards Sandusky in that situation and not the potential victim. You see an old man naked with a child I would think some investigation is warranted because I'd say it's a safe guess that that child probably doesn't want to be there.
  6. I'm still wondering how Mcqueary could just run away while the kids getting assaulted in front of him. In my mind the kid probably thinks someone is there to help him and they just run away.
  7. That was one of the worst things I've ever read. I don't know how people involved in criminal cases like that can read [expletive] like that constantly.
  8. Oh, absolutely. All it takes is the offense to be out of sync one game in the playoffs and we're done if the D doesn't get it together. We will NOT win the Super Bowl this year with the D being this bad. It just won't happen. It has to improve significantly if we're going to repeat. I dunno, the Packers have won 14 games in a row including the playoffs. And in those 14 games, Rodgers has had a +111 QB rating 12 times. The 3 lowest QB ratings in that span all came against the Bears (55.4 - NFC title game, 89.7 - Week 17, 111.4 - Week 3 this year). So as long as you avoid the Bears in the playoffs, I'd say it's likely the offense does not get out of sync for any playoff game. If the Bears get that 6th seed we'd be on a collision course again.
  9. If Alabama gets into the title game over an undefeated BCS team, all hell will break loose. At this point, I'm kind of rooting for that to happen. I bet it does.
  10. It concerns me. One off day by Rodgers in the playoffs and that's the season with the way the defense is going right now.
  11. I could easily see someone getting the Packers in the playoffs if the defense doesn't improve. This is pretty awful.
  12. Stop guarding Gates with linebackers please.
  13. I wish announcers would call games instead of have verbal sex with the players.
  14. That's actually closer than expected. I think whatever the call was on the field would have stood on that one.
  15. That's not a catch.
  16. Giants and Pats are in a scoreless tie at halftime.
  17. Holy [expletive]. You must really hate 72 Dolphins.
  18. He's good at being objective but he talks too much and says some annoying things.
  19. I'm a fan of this version of Phillip Rivers.
  20. Do people out west like sports? It seems like fans of the teams I like (Cubs, Packers and Blackhawks more specifically) always take over stadiums out there.
  21. Not if Oklahoma State and Stanford go undefeated. The thing that could make it interesting is if Arkansas wins at LSU to end the year. Then we'd have a situation like with the Big 12 a couple years ago, with three 11-1 teams who all beat each other. What if Oregon beats Stanford? I'd think they would then get consideration too. This could get very interesting.
  22. I'd think so I would think LSU should still go if they lose one (assuming Stanford or Oklahoma State lose). They have the most impressive resume in the nation even with a loss
  23. If the winner of this game were to lose one more do one of these team still make the title game?
  24. I've never heard of that. Wasn't Pitt unranked when Utah beat team back when Urban Meyer coached Utah? Or maybe Pitt was in the 20's. Pitt was 19/20 in the AP/Coaches polls according to ESPN going into the bowl game that year. Ok, it looks like UCONN was unranked in the BCS last year though. I'd imagine that any Big Ten or Pac-12 team would be more deserving than UCONN was last year or any Big East team this year.
