    Kintzler is fine. My only hope is it's only a two year deal and we don't overpay because he has closer experience.

    I hope he stays a Cub. He's a great 6th starter and I think we'll all love him forever. Hopefully, he's OK enough with his current role. Same. I don't want them to trade him and he has been incredibly valuable as a 6th starter. I get him wanting to start though and wonder if he would request a trade next offseason if he didn't get semi-regular starts this year.

    Hand would be a great get but I really really really really really don't want to trade Baez and Russell, if traded, should be used in a much bigger deal.

    I mean, it is the Winter Meetings. And we need another starter. And there's history with Cobb and the coaches. And Cobb has said he would like to play for the Cubs. It seems way more likely than not, but hey anything can happen.

    I mean, I'd do that too but Boston wouldn't. They can sign a first baseman to add power to the lineup without having to trade Betts.

    I don't like the idea of selling low on Schwarber and yeah, Rodriguez has the injury. Barnes is meh.

    I really like Montgomery but I also think it's wise to have him in the same role. He's been valuable there and it's nice to have a decent option for spot starts if someone goes down with injury. With the winter meetings opening today, I'm expecting the Cobb situation to be sorted out sooner rather than later.

    Hechevarria is garbage. Take him out, throw in Almora and Kiermeier.

    Oh man, if we could do Almora, Happ, Alzolay, de la Cruz and someone like Zagunis for Stanton, Yelich and Volquez I'd do cartwheels. That contract probably would bite us and I wouldn't want it to hinder us from getting Harper. For all we know, this could be posturing/his agent doing this just to make all teams involved sweat a little bit.
