  1. You're the worst (probably)
  2. Dodgers made a huge trade:
  3. That looks fantastic! That looks great, though I do have to ask about that T206 replica looking thing on the table.
  4. That didn't last long
  5. Getting the call to start tomorrow. http://www.bleachernation.com/2018/06/24/duane-underwood-jr-to-make-big-league-debut-and-start-for-cubs-tomorrow-night/
  6. I like our rotation as is. Darvish comes back soon. Monty has been an incredible 6th man. I'd like to see Mills get a shot as a spot starter and Butler at some point should be back too. Wouldn't be bad to invest in another starter but I wouldn't give up what it would take to get Bundy, unless he gets added to a Machado deal and we're dead set on doing that for Russell/Happ and someone like Albertos.
  7. Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
  8. I've liked Lugo for some time too, but for all those same reasons are probably why the Mets won't trade him for anything short of a good haul. They should do some rebuilding and he's controllable and effective.
  9. Same but also those guys are now our starting IF and OF so
  10. I remember Brett at BN had a nice writeup on Amaya a year or two ago and I've kept an eye on him since. Glad to see his raking. What are the thoughts on Ademan now? He's struggling at the plate but still has loads of potential and is young for the level, right?
  11. Honestly, I'll consider this whole draft a win as long as we don't pick him. The Cubs don't need the bad publicity, but I wonder on a more societal level whether he should forever be barred based on a teenage mistake (his claims of innocence not withstanding). The move toward felons voting is picking up steam, and I think that's probably consistent with where our society is going. The Obama Administration was very committed to the idea of keeping the official records of teen offenders clean as not to hamper them later on (see Nikolas Cruz). I just wonder if Luke Hemlich is different because he might make millions of dollars. I'm in favor of second chances and the changes in the criminal justice system. But this is a high school kid molesting a child relative. Not the same thing as getting caught smoking a joint. I will be very upset if we take him.
  12. I like Archer. I'm still made we traded him. At the same time, there are better fits vs. what we'd have to give up. (On the other hand, the Rays traded Colome for much less than expected so who knows)
  13. All in favor of banning our creator?
  14. Projectable but super raw and incredibly overdrafted. We're eyeing someone later aren't we?
  15. I like the Hoerner pick. Some upside and presumable saves some money for later picks. He was a guy I was hoping for if some other things didn't fall into place.
  16. Is Eddie Butler just dead? I know it's not like he's integral to the team but he had good outings earlier and I'd rather see him get another shot before Luke Farrell. Shouldn't he be back from the DL?
  17. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/columnist/bob-nightengale/2018/05/29/mlb-trade-deadline-manny-machado-josh-donaldson-cole-hamels-rumors/650523002/ Lol Nightengale things we acquire Archer for a package "headlined" by Caratini. We make that deal yesterday if it were possible. He also thinks we trade for Tyson Ross.
  18. Hanley Ramirez DFA'd. [tweet]https://twitter.com/benyankee/status/1000046868833947648[/tweet]
  19. [tweet] [/tweet] Well that's unexpected.
