Shithead Fuckface Osuna available

I'd rather have Brad Hand if we're going high leverage reliever. At least Hand isn't a known piece of horsefeathers. -
Contreras, Rizzo, Hoerner, Javy, Heyward, Mills and Professor are all Gold Glove finalists
-
Let's get horsefeathering wild. What do you do? Sign JBJ and LeMahieu. Add to the pen, some good relievers on the market. I'm honestly fine with the rotation including Yu, Hendricks, Alzolay and Mills but really need a good No. 3 starter. Revamp the bench. Give Nico a little more time in the minors. Or maybe there won't be a next season and it's all a mess.

Garbage year. Let's pretend it didn't happen.

Damn, didn't realize it was COVID related. That sucks. Always seemed like a good dude. And that's one of my favorite baseball cards of ever. I remember reading his book in high school, was entertaining stuff.

Jose Martinez optioned (again) and contract selected of 2012 Cardinals first rounder Patrick Wisdom, who we signed to a minors deal awhile back.

Wick to the IL, Chafin activated Cool to get Chafin into the mix but otherwise brutal [tweet] [/tweet]

The Blue Jays DFAd Billy McKinney. Bring him home (ish)
-
That's a bummer. More than I thought we'd give up. At the same time, he's super far from the majors and anything can happen. And as others have said, Jose Martinez still has control and can be used as DH/solid bench bat for the next two seasons (not that he's shown that so far in limited time with us). I guess you can hope he can rebound and be a good (and relatively cheap) part of the offense. If they DFA him in the offseason then horsefeathers it all.
-
I haven't been watching the games, is Martinez just unlucky? No hits in 14 at bats but only 3 Ks.

That got out of hand fast.

Uhhhhh ok [tweet] [/tweet] We had claimed someone named Ildemaro Vargas off waivers earlier today and he's out of options.

We lost Casey Sadler on waivers to the Mariners. Oh well.
-
Kinda surprised by Sadler but he hadn't pitched well recently. I liked getting him in the offseason. Oh well. Maybe he'll sneak through and can hang out in South Bend.

Zach short? Gross. I know he's not a big prospect but he's good infield depth and we traded him for an old meh backup -
Anything to be excited about here? Seems like waiver wire fodder

Why are the Marlin's trading for Marte? -
Been eyeing him for a bit. Has been solid the last few years and good against lefties. Assuming we didn't give up much it's a nice pickup

2020 Trade Deadline Targets/Rumors

He's a 29 year old utility player who debuted last year. Ty France was a decent utility player and was sent to Seattle in this deal. It makes no sense. Preller has gone mad. Love this deal for Seattle. -

The Padres went all in on getting Trammell last year and now deal him? AND in a seven player deal? [tweet] [/tweet]
