I had him in mind as a lefty masher but I didn't think the Rays would move him. I guess it depends on who the PTBNLs are but not a bad deal on the surface. Also have him under control for two more years if we want.
Yeah I don’t get that. He can’t/doesn’t play CF anymore, doesn’t hit lefties, doesn’t do the contact thing, etc. I don’t see how he’s an upgrade over Almora or Hernan You forgot the part that he's cheap. #PTR
I'm tired of dealing with the Tigers but https://www.bleachernation.com/cubs/2020/08/28/report-cubs-and-tigers-have-been-talking-trade-cameron-maybin-and-maybe-a-lefty-reliever/ What would be the return on something like Maybin and one of Norris/Soto/Cisnero?
As long as we're having reunions, I wouldn't mind having LaStella coming off the bench as a PH in a critical situation. Should've never let him go in the first place. Traded him so we could roster Descalso.
Big yikes there. Is Ian Miller just taking the roster spot of Bryant? Good for him getting the call, hit well in AAA last year and had a good spring from what I remember. (and for me, he's a local kid from Philly area)
Pivetta has the stuff and intrigue but he's been trash the last couple years. Seabold is a nice arm but nothing special. Interesting return there. Sox are desperate for anyone who can slot into the rotation apparently.
Phillies traded for David Hale and now trying to swing a deal with Boston for Workman and Hembree. The pitching market is heating up. Deadline is 8/31 right?
