I don't know about Ibanez. He's getting older and his defense and declining. He's been consistant year-year offensively, but his first half numbers last year were pretty pedestrian.

Well, he has power, speed, walks a bit and is a good fielder. However, he's getting up there in age and usually struggles to hit .250.

Well, the market has become pretty bloated. Even though he's in a pitcher's park and will probably put up above average numbers again, I still don't see him being worth $10 mil.

I am too. Granted, I expect his power numbers to dip once he gets here, but he'll make up for it in other areas, and we need a good corner outfielder to compliment Soriano. If not him, then there is little out on the market.

considering the Giants lineup, and lack of 'star' power without Bonds, let's hope they go after A-Rod with the money, not Fukudome. besides, Fuku is not NEARLY old enough to play on that team... They may sign Julio Franco just to keep the average age over 37. Heck, he alone may bring the average over 40.

Not really, other teams are smarter and know he's worse than that. Not all of them. And he isn't that bad, he just isn't great. There are enough teams desparate for pitching that would take him.

Baldelli was once good. A few DL stints later he's very questionable. Unless it would be a very low cost, he might be worth a flyer. However, I would not acquire him with the intention of starting him.

I feel so.....demoralized. That was the worst excuse for defense I've ever seen. If anything, I thought our offense would lose it for us, not the defense.
