Hype surrounding Octavio Dotel. Who knew? I think he's living off of reputation. He didn't have a particularly dominating year in 2007 (outside of his ability to strikeout hitters). His hits allowed and WHIP weren't impressive at all. He would benefit more by returning to the NL with a good defensive team. Teams probably look at his numbers a few years ago, and hope he can reach those again if fully healthy.
Heck no! You crazy? Now we can trade Hill for another free swinger and move Dempster up to the 3. After reading your post all I could think of is Hendry dressed like Austin Powers, walking down a street looking for free swingers. And now I'm thinking that. Thanks.
So he's a push over? :? Anyway, that was a pretty good read. I still won't say he's great at his job, but I like him a tad more after reading that, especially after his Wood and Prior comments.
2 years? Psh, try 22 years. We'll still be here miserable, Jim Hendry will still be the GM, and he'll still be trying to trade for Roberts despite him being retired for 10 years. And this thread will still be going.
