Nico quietly (or maybe not quietly but I only just noticed) is 3rd in the NL in hits and AVG and is 2nd in dWAR. He might be team MVP given how the rest of the lineup has generally slumped. -
Palencia was clearly gassed. Hope this gives him some rest. Assuming Kittredge gets the save opps. Maybe Rogers, who has closing experience. Does Kittredge still have an option for next year? I'd hope we pick it up. And I'd rather see Alcantara in CF than Castro but what do I know.

Grace lives in Arizona and has picked up signing cards through the mail recently. I know because he signed for me. I gather it's a combination of the Dbacks stuff and maybe not invited or not caring.

Is everyone gonna calm down about Happ now? Dude's on fire. 3 walks and a HR today. I had thought that would be a good chance to let Hodge try to work a clean inning. And he did.

White Sox claimed Cowles. So we basically traded him for Civale.

After adding Civale, we just signed Austin Gomber and Joe Ross. Really trying to stuff the taxi squad with barely passable pitchers. Gomber was the lead in the package from the Cardinals to Rockies for Arenado. That was such an awful trade at the time and looks a million times worse since given that a) they then gave a bunch of money to KB and b) none of those players amounted to anything and are now all out of Colorado's organization

Idk how Horton's FB/GB ratio is but I am a little worried about him going into Coors. And on the flip side, if a trip to Coors can't boost the offense then what are we doing here?

I would very much be in favor of getting Kelly but I don't know where we stand in terms of claiming order. And you can see Texas still holding onto hope for a bit longer.

Love wasting Cam Smith. Season is ending dreadfully. This team is not winning a playoff series. Tucker is walking. Back to square one. At least Jed is locked in and PTR has his money and his boy in the WH.
