  1. Clearly trolling, and poorly. I had a meeting moved.
  2. Much ado about a 2nd tier program
  3. As long as the money is right, there shouldn't be an issue hiring one of them. This isn't the Illinois teams of the 70s that Lou took over, there's a bunch of talent on the team. Shaka is my #1 choice. Good coach, young, African-American, and has led a team to the Final Four. I'd prefer he keep both McClain and Howard too. I want either Smart Grant Marshall "Either" is used between 2 choices, not 3 And there's your english lesson of the day.
  4. I'm very long on soybean futures.
  5. Depends. Can Egwu make the same leap that Leonard made? If he does anywhere close we will be decent. Abrams is going to be a lot better by next year. Having a good point guard will help out a lot. Mike Shaw is also our best rebounder. Leads the team in a wide marghin in rebounds per minute. Just because Bruce won't let a freshman play unless his hand is forced everyone assumes these kids suck. They don't. Not saying they suck, just saying that very limited experience and it's not like they are ADavis or CZeller. As for Egwu-Leonard, didn't Egwu only play like 3 years of HS basketball? That's a lot of coordination/skill development to rely on.
  6. I'm sorry, but that's not a 22 win team. You're relying on a front court of Egwu/Shaw that have had very limited experience. Maybe 20 wins, but it'll be 20 wins like this year - .500 at best in the B1G. I'd start Griffey at the PF, and you have noone to backup Egwu.
  7. Like the black and white cookie
  8. excuses, blame, refs, blame blame, excuses, the other team is lucky, we're still incredible, our players are better than yours, excuse, blame blame
  9. Illini basketball fans on this board remind me of the superfans in Major League.
  10. This stopping to see if a player got hit in the head is a bit over the top
  11. Paul has to stop slashing by himself. He's turned it over at least 4 times today trying to do it. Griffey is pulling a Jack Ingram today.
  12. Snotrich? Svotrnich? Did you say Pam or Pan? I feel like you're saying Pan.
  13. They didn't give him continuation ?!?
  14. Griffey's feet were horrible there on D. Great offensive confidence though. Bruce was also 9 feet on the floor.
  15. You guys should stop fouling so much. That would cure it. Somebody cool off Griffey.
  16. Illinois sets up their offense and they get a basket. Keep doing that.
  17. I look for the best in people
  18. Whelp, the Iowa reference didn't add too much to the conversation, did it? I came on here to point out that we aren't a "horrible" team, and then agreed with the comments about Illinois' program. I have no clue where you have me bragging. Sounds like spite for the sake of spite.
  19. Hey, the B1G is a tough conference. Any team can win any day. It's not like we lost to a Horizon league bottom feeder like UIC or anything. (apologies to all other Illinois fans)
  20. I wasn't zinging and wasn't trying to start anything. I had read the previous pages and was agreeing. Badgers lost 3 in a row earlier this year, including to an unranked team at home. I have no room to talk. We'll be out in the first round of March if we go cold from the outside due to a lack of inside presence and not being able to create shots.
  21. Hahahah, oh boy. When the boats sinking, make fun of the iceberg. Great strategy. It's Wisconsin's worst team in quite some time, right? If Illinois wanted to be more than a [expletive] bubble team, they had to win today. "Worst" is relative. Yes, this is a down year, but they're 16-5, with 4 of those losses being top 20 teams. They'll still end up around 22-9 and make the tourney for the 14th straight year. Agreed, if Illinois was actually an improving program, they should have won today, especially with Wisc missing their FTs. Instead they continue to slide to middle of the pack since dee/deron/etc.
  22. Hahahah, oh boy. When the boats sinking, make fun of the iceberg. Great strategy.
  23. Whatever the reason, Prater is more than welcome to come up north. Sit out a season, get healthy, let us get some QB questions solved, and then explode for 2013 and 2014
  24. Can we agree that a backloaded contract has more to do with just TVM and investing the difference?
