yeah, if there was ever a time you consider sitting a guy who has reached base nine times in a row it's soler vs lackey.

and while we're at it, start Grimm for an inning or two and THEN put in Hammel so he can avoid his usual 1st inning woes you could do that and bat grimm in the 2nd spot and use coghlan to ph for him in the bottom of the first. LOT OF GOOD IDEAS HERE

start coghlan at 2b, castro at ss. bat coghlan 2nd. let him bat once in the bottom of the 1st, then take him out, put baez in at ss, slide castro to 2nd. that gets coghlan the one ab he would probably get if he doesn't start, but ensures that it comes against a guy he hits well vs. the plethora of guys out of the cardinals' pen that he doesn't match up well against.
