Whoa and I thought I liked being the most liberal liberal in the room! well you've got your hands full today calling everyone who thinks maybe a basketball player shouldn't have gone into the stands to shove a guy a racist so good luck with that weirdo.

That's right, there's no in between. that's right, there can only be one person in the wrong and it was clearly the fan so the end. both smart and the fan can be a douche. i'll estimate an idiot fan has hurled racist slurs at black athletes oh maybe 27 million times in history. amazingly very few have gone into the stands to assault the idiot fan. so yeah, what smart did was stupid, regardless of what the guy said. Smart had already fallen in the front row when the fan started talking, this wasn't a Ron Artest running into the stands situation. If more of those athletes were 6" from the fan saying the racial slur, they'd have done what Marcus Smart did or worse. Why is the burden of self control on the 19-year old and not the 50-year old bigot? I mean, sure, it would have been helpful for his team if he didn't shove the guy, but his reaction wasn't ridiculous or out of line and I wouldn't consider it douche-like. (Again, all this only if the fan used a racial slur. If he's using garden variety trash talk, Smart's reaction was horrible.) can't the burden of self control be on both? are you trying to make it sound like I'm trying to defend the racist hill person or what?i don't get your angle here.

yes, I had a minor heart attack seeing it live. for a second I thought maybe it was actually a foul. it's amazing he still gets calls. I mean everyone knows he does it right? when you put "marcus smart" in google, "marcus smart flop" is the second suggestion.

you act like you're surprised every single game. it's always awful, so the good teams gameplan for it. if the refs are going to let you flop, flop like crazy good games "game plan" for bad officiating? and flopping? how's that work, john wooden jr.?

Not only would it not shock me if he's traded, it wouldn't bother me either. Especially if he bounces back and the kids are ready to go. Castro would likely be moved for pitching and, if his value is restored, would probably bring back something good. OH BOY I HOPE WE HAVE A 24 YEAR OLD 4WAR SS TO TRADE AWAY SOON Sweet, me too. Glad we're on the same page. THEN, imagine what we could get for the guys we got for castro. [drool]

i like that iowa st dropped from a 3 to a 5 after beating kansas st and losing @ kansas. and kansas st moved up from a 9 to an 8 after losing to iowa st and beating texas tech.

i have the same (unfounded) paranoia about iowa st not making the tournament. i have an irrational fear of a baylor-esque run of losing literally every game. ps baylor went into ames ranked #7 in the country. they have since lost 6 of 7 and are 1-6 in conference. and their next three games are @ ou, ku, @ osu. a 1-9 start to conference play is a real possibility.
