    How about Rusch DFA and Ryu up? Ryu can start a few games until Woody comes back, and if he is better than Guzman he can continue to start until Prior is back. (I'd also send Aardvark down and recall Wuertz.) if ryu gets starts ahead of hill, then hill needs to be traded. it simply wouldn't be fair for him to pitch that well for so long and be 11th on the depth chart.

    johnson swung at the first pitch too...that's solid hitting. also, i have a strategic secret that i wanted to share...DON'T PITCH TO PUJOLS! especially in a 1-1 game in the 8th inning. don't these teams get espn?

    there's no way they'd DFA rusch. zambrano could get hurt in his next start or guzman/hill could go completely in the toilet. if you dump rusch, then who do you go to? ryu? walrond? marmol? i'd send aardsma down, and bring up wuertz just so you have a fresh arm out there for the next couple days. then when it comes times for rusch's next start, you send down whoever's pitching the worst b/w wuertz and novoa and bring up hill for the start.
