  1. four times. billingsley's the better prospect. Why because he can throw the ball harder then Marshall? Well...so can Angel Guzman. And I DO consider Angel is the same class with Billingsley. that makes one of you.
  2. four times. billingsley's the better prospect.
  3. i guess if i spent all off season hyping juan pierre, i'd do the best i could to make everyone forget it by making every one of my posts about rich hill too.
  4. I'd settle for seeing him win one. here's a fun fact...how many runs have the cubs scored in hill's four losses? 1 (that's combined) pretty sure it wouldn't matter much if hill had an era of 8 or 1...the offense is the problem, not rich hill. Here's another fun fact..... if the CUBS had scored 5 runs in every game that Hill pitched........ his record would be...... let's see....... uh....... 0-4 !! but...uh....they didn't. i'd say the fact that a 90+ mil payroll team has the worst offense in the NL is a bigger concern than the struggles of the team's #7 starter.
  5. Pierre's career games played: 886 Hill's career games played: 13 Excellent comparison. i know. pierre's actually done something on the major league level. hill's definitely more to blame for the cubs' season than pierre. if people want to troll about pierre/speed, fine. i just find it funny when hill gets ripped a few times and it gets called out as trolling right away. hopefully, the hill bandwagon can handle all the vultures circling. :D it's considered trolling b/c it's obvious that you're just doing it to get under people's (specifically mine) skin.
  6. you're assuming that there's something to get. i don't care what you say, so i'm not missing out on anything.
  7. I don't buy that. whether you buy it or not doesn't matter. billingsley, guzman, laroche, martin, etc puts any cub offer to shame. if i'm giving up the farm for an impact player, it's gonna be a bat. this offense is horrible.
  8. except hill has pitched four times this year, and the offense takes the field everyday.

  11. wow, people are rough on hill today. you'd think he lost all 25 games this year.
  12. if dusty gets fired it'll definitely be because of the four games hill's lost and not b/c of 2+ years of underachieving.
  13. Blanco is a solid back up catcher. no he's not.
  14. as far as i know, hendry never said that he wouldn't trade hill for dunn or that hill was untouchable. you could be right, and the "untouchable" part of this thread came from my vague memory of people saying that... buuuut...if he had the oppertunity... and he probably didn't. hendry's done enough stupid stuff to criticize him for that people don't need to make up more stupid stuff.
  15. one way or the other, Hendry is seriously wrong. look at the pitching the reds pay for, Hill is right in step with Arroyo, Milton. yeah, arroyo sucks.
  16. as far as i know, hendry never said that he wouldn't trade hill for dunn or that hill was untouchable.
  17. i'm relying on you for all minor league info starting...now.
  18. it may technically be w/in the rules, but i wonder how ajp would like it if he got plowed everytime he stood near the plate w/o the ball. i was hoping that aj wouldn't be ejected so that any cub who scored could just nail him regardless of how close the play was...but then i realized the cubs weren't going to score. if by some fluke, the cubs score a run or two, i'd just plow him every time.
  19. the cubs are outhitting the white sox, but losing by seven. yeah, this team doesn't need to start drawing more walks.
  20. i don't know why people had such unrealistic hopes for a guy whose 2005 numbers were driven by a ton of luck. he's got an acceptable OBP, but his SLG just doesn't cut it for a corner OF, especially when you are getting NO pop from 2b, ss, cf, and 1b. i was in favor of trading him for an impact corner OF in the offseason, but oh well. also, at this point, is there anybody who has played well since opening day?
  21. thom, it's getting to the point where this isn't the "start" of the 2006 season. it's the 2006 season.
  22. Just keep waiting, they will even out! oh good, i was beginning to think the cubs just lost all the time because their players suck.
  23. gosh, these bad breaks just keep happening to the poor cubs.
  24. that's being generous.
