    words to live by. probably should be your sig. seriously though, can we quit whining about luck for a while? the cubs just won two games they should have lost and they miss webb this weekend. if the brewers had missed webb and won two games in two days in their last ab, this board would probably explode into the biggest pity party of all time...i mean, it practically crashed when gabe gross went 2-4 or whatever.

    It's always fun to have a guy who is a legit threat to hit a HR off the bench, and nothing more. But he hasn't been able to do anything against RHP this year. Need to keep his playing time very limited. DO you think Lou will be limiting his playing time? I see him filling in for Floyd & Murton a lot more. Which is terrible. Lou may even try to play him in CF. See you in a few weeks Fox or Pie. Right, because Lou is such a terrible manager. He just does dumb stuff all the time. He certainly isn't getting the most out of this team. not saying that lou is terrible, but "getting the most out of this team?" you have to be kidding. it's a $100 mil team that's like four games over .500. if that's the "most," i don't want to see the "least."

    yeah, floyd looked terrible last night. i'm happy for him that he got the big hit, but he's going to have to slug at a better-than-juan-pierre rate for me to give him any love.

    both those teams suck...it's not like they're 30 games over .500 or something. quit whining...it's pathetic. not whining at all - it's true... see: braun, ryan, gross, ankiel and all those guys are to blame for the $100 mil cubs being three games over .500. Exactly. If we were in another division we'd be in much worse shape than we are now. imagine the woe-is-me-ing that would be going on if the cubs actually played in a division with real teams. I didn't say anything about those guys being the reason for the standings. I simply stated how annoying it is that the Cards/Brewers prospects immediately become all-stars upon reaching MLB. Add Gallardo to the list as well. poor you.
