  1. if you truly believe that, you're in for a disappointing next six seasons.
  2. my favorite part about your idea is how stunned you seem by no one else being on board. like it's an episode of the twilight zone and everyone around you has gone crazy.
  3. lol...because you bring him up in EVERY SINGLE thread.
  4. They're out of options, so they get a free pass. But he just signed Edmonds. And I don't mind Johnson on the roster for LHP, but it seems stupid for me to say that Pie got booted for not producing when we have gotten no production whatsoever from center field against RHP. that's my problem as well. Pie should have gotten a month straight starting to see if he can produce. Giving him 5 games doesn't give him time to adjust to the faster pitching. The Hill thing as infruiated me from the moment he was pulled. Yes he was walking people but his ERA was still 4.11. He can walk all the people he wants as long as he strikes the next guy out and doesn't allow a run. He has been our most consistent pitcher the last two years and he's yanked 2 weeks into the season when his ERA is still somewhat good??? That makes absolutely no sense. Not that big of a deal, but no, Zambrano has been been our most consistent pitcher. Honestly, I think Rich Hill has been ridiculously inconsistent. He either looks unhittable and the next big thing. Or he just gets rocked, and gives up home run after home run. Either way, he should be in the rotation, and Marquis shouldn't. inconsistent or not, hill has been the best cubs' pitcher since ASB of '06. and zambrano wasn't exactly the model of consistency last year. the absurdity of demoting and subsequently burying the guy who has been your best pitcher over a 1 1/2 season stretch is just mind-boggling. think of other teams and who their best starter over that stretch is and what it would be like if they just sent them to AAA after 2-3 bad starts.
  5. of all the crazy posts i read on here, i think the ones where people claim to have the ability to read players' minds are my favorite.
  6. you have an amazing ability to squeeze your soriano hatred into every single thread.
  7. but we'd have to trade zambrano to make room for him oops. forgot the "trade the superior player" part of the frosty worm equation.
  8. may have to try and catch that.
  9. it's kind of funny how murton knows his stats like that. as if he's just been waiting for someone to ask him so he can throw them out there to make hendry look stupid.
  10. can't believe i haven't thought of this until now...move soriano to the mound. everyone admits he has a great arm. if he's pitching, neither his inconsistent bat nor his bad defense will hurt the cubs.
  11. well, as of now, nobody's earned cf, so it has to be "handed" to somebody. may as well be the top prospect and not other teams' scraps like johnson and edmonds.
  12. the obvious solution is to trade ramirez and move soriano to 3b. duh.
  13. i was at the i-cubs game yesterday, and my friend and i were wondering if marshall, pie, hill and murton just sit around and bitch about the cubs all the time. they probably do.
  14. holy crap, i hate the cubs sometimes.
  15. Um, no. You don't trade your best player or let him walk so somebody else can move to his position. you're wasting your time. the whole idea is ridiculous and everyone on the board besides him knows it. it'd be like if i argued for sending ramirez down to AAA and signing kevin orie to play 3b. it's so stupid it's not even worth your time arguing about.
  16. leftfielder winning % is the new vorp.
  17. can't [expletive] believe i'm 3 and [expletive] 5.
  18. obviously i'm the last person that anyone has any sympathy for, but are there any guesses as to how i went from up .25 at 11 pm to losing by .75 at 1:30 am? are any other points changed later besides errors?
  19. two [expletive] losses by 1.5 points and .75. unfuckingbelievable.
  20. what the [expletive]? i was down by less than one going into the night game. then ajp struck out and grounded into a dp and i was up .25 or something. now it has me losing by .75. and nobody in my lineup had an error.
  21. you can post whenever you want. it's just when you only post when soriano screws up (and not when he carried the team for a week), you're gonna get called for it.
  22. geez, it's basically like he's doing spring training all over again. what a waste the first half of the season will have been for him.
  23. sigh...i wish marmol was a starter.
  24. yes, please. so we'll move fukudome to center for hoffpauir, but not for murton? ok.
