  1. mid-illini representin' up in here.
  2. if the cubs don't get peavy, the cardinals are going to win the central with 83 wins.
  3. i've read enough of you to reasonably form an opinion.
  4. That'd at least make sense. I'm trying to figure out how you figured out that he wasn't committed without monitoring his work effort. just strikes me as a lazy guy. laid back, california kid who got things handed to him from a teenager on (because of his bad-assery at pitching) and got too wrapped up in the "life is good" mentality. again, i don't doubt his DESIRE to pitch. i just don't think he's a "give it your all" type of guy. to everyone... disagree with me, fine. to suggest that my theory is 100% impossible is just, well, flat out stupid and insanely closed minded. And you think it's okay to make up a complete personality workup of the guy and accuse him of negative personality traits based on nothing but a one-sentence sketch of his background? make up? no. come to a conclusion based on what you know about a person? yeah. YOU DON'T KNOW HIM.

  6. every gm in baseball would rather have felix pie than joey gathright. except jim hendry.
  7. i'm not huge on pie by any means, but hendry's handling of him reminds why i think hendry sucks.
  8. nevermind, i don't want him if he looks brooks and dunn.
  9. yes because he was the most FEARED hitter. i'm glad rice got in because i'm sick of hearing about him. jim rice owes tens of thousands of dollars in autograph $ to the senile old sportswriter who first coined that phrase with respect to rice.
  10. jay bell got 204% of the votes? wtf.
  11. i'm disappointed it took someone that long to make that joke. 6.8
  12. if you don't go to don and charlie's you might as well not even go to spring training.
  13. maybe they should stop losing to oregon state.
  14. way to knock him down a peg there, front runner. i'm sure he didn't realize usc was better than illinois until you just delivered that knock out blow. well played.
  15. i was undefeated on bowls involving teams from the state of carolinas.
  16. the cubs suck at drafting anyway. i say if he wants a one year deal to attempt to cash in after this season, give it to him.
  17. lol "the carolinas."
  18. hopefully usc wouldn't draw akron in the first round.
  19. lol, saying tebow was the 4th best qb in the big 12 was THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING ANYONE HAS EVER SAID??? really, thom?
  20. thom, the last time i saw shoveling this proficient was during the great noreaster of '84.
  21. we get it, thom, tebow is the best shoveler college football has ever seen.
