    I just think it's more fair to allow the people that are trying to rebuild their teams to also have the opportunity to draft minor leaguers, separately from the ML draft. if the goal is to help rebuild the "down" teams, the obvious solution is to either not allow the trading of 1st round picks or limit the amount of points a team can dump after the season. every year a good team unloads all its B/B+ players to a down team for high draft picks. this allows the good team to keep all their A/A- players and pick up more A/A- players with their draft picks. then the down team keeps a bunch of their B/B- players and gets a bunch more B/B- players in the draft because they don't have any high draft picks.

    I was able to drop players using the add/drop function. I hit control + players to drop them all at the same time. I believe Juan said that as long as you mark your keepers, he's going to drop anyone who isn't marked, so if you are having trouble, he can do them all at one time on the morning of the 15th. Speaking of Juan, I was just looking over his team. He's got a pretty good corps of players he's keeping this offseason. I still get this warning when I go through the add/drop function: I have indeed marked my keepers, so that's good. i get that same message.

    i don't get the "keeper" checkbox thing if you still have to drop your non-keeper players.

    Wow, I didn't hear that Abreau was signed to play backup infield. That is a steal even at $5 mil base with incentives that will likely pay him near $10 mil. Yeah, I'd much rather have Abreau backing up Font and Theriot even if it is for a few mil more. the fact that miles was signed to be a backup MI while abreu was signed to be a starting corner OF only makes it worse. thanks for proving my point.

    i'd probably keep kinsler over martin. martin fell off a bit last year. of course, i wish i wouldn't have traded him for joe blanton and jonathan sanchez.
