If you read what I said AFTER the game a couple of days ago, you would know that I knew Bama's victory was luck. Never said anything different. I was simply pointed out that Tennessee getting into position to possibly pull the upset was equally lucky. no, blocking two field goals and having a dimwit opposing coach managing the clock in the last 50 seconds is waaaay luckier.

Berry forced that fumble. It wasn't luck, it was a good hit by Berry. It doesn't change the fact that the "fumble" was the first fumble in 322 chances for Ingram. Unless that becomes a habit for Ingram I consider that fumble an aberration, simple bad luck. And that is not a shot at Berry, cause Gawd dang I love his skillset, and I do believe he is the best safety in college. Regardless, it was good play on Berry based on desparation which equals luck, imo. No fumble there, and Tennessee is in no position to even sniff the upset. With that said, 9 of 10 times Berry doesn't stripe that ball from Ingram, I would put money on that. With that said, dew I wish the best for you guys the rest of the season. a guy whose team won because of two blocked fg's is saying a fumble is luck.

i should be enjoying the win over nebraska, but they should be effing 7-1 and running away with the north. of course, i guess you could say they shouldn't have won yesterday...though a team that commits 8 turnovers doesn't deserve to win either.

Proof the system is seriously screwed up. No offense, but Iowa should not be ranked any higher than 4 on any polls and anyone giving them a #1 vote probably should not be allowed to vote at this point in the season. well that's just dumb. why is voting them #1 so crazy? they're undefeated and have a few good wins on their resume. just because florida/alabama/texas started out ahead of iowa doesn't mean they're any more entitled to be ranked #1.

i don't know, but iowa beat south carolina by a million last year in a bowl game and bama was pushed by south carolina last week. obviously that was last year, but it's time to stop imagining that bama and florida are leaps and bounds better than the rest of the country.

And what makes you think Iowa can compete with those teams? Florida and Alabama don't have great offenses but the mighty Hawkeyes have struggled to win against UNI, Ark St, Michigan, and MSU. and the mighty tide have struggled with south carolina and tennessee. and the mighty gators have struggled against arkansas and mississippi state.

What exactly shows you that Iowa is such a good team and would be able to hang with Florida or Alabama? I know it couldn't have been that 17-16 victory over Northern Iowa or that 24-21 victory over Arkansas State, both of which came at home. Neither Florida nor Alabama struggled against teams as weak as those two are. and those are about the only two games iowa has struggled in. and since those games iowa has beaten wisc, penn state and michigan state on the road. alabama won on a blocked last second fg at home to a shitty tennessee team and its coach who pissed away the last 50 seconds of the game life a buffoon. sorry, not really blown away by that. i'm not saying iowa would beat either of those teams, or that iowa is anything great, but to pretend that florida and alabama are in a class of their own is ridiculous.

i don't get why everyone assumes florida/alabama would trounce iowa in a hypothetical nat'l championship game. people act like those two teams are in a class by themselves and i don't see it.
